I live in York County. Don't think the taxes are high relative to the surrounding areas. It seems the more rural you go, the cheaper the taxes. Perry county is going to be cheap, but inventory is low. My car insurance for full coverage on an SUV is like 50 bucks a month. York county isn't bad. Neither is Dauphin and Cumberland. The west shore (Cumberland county) is really blowing up in terms of housing and businesses, but the aging roadways are making it a nightmare to get around.

Yeah and once you spend some time up in those parts, you start to see how a mountain lion or two could roam undetectable for the most part. I saw what I believed to be one almost 20 years ago on Hazard road in Clinton county. There was the carcass of a fawn we saw laying in the road and a tan colored animal with a long, thick tail that went into the woods as we pulled up.
