Bought my house when I was 22 back in 1993. Interest rates were 7-8% and you had to have a minimum of 20% and at least 3 months of payments in saving. Hubs and I had a combined hourly rate of $20 an hr. You re right about not maxing out what you are approved for. I also recommend having a “just in case” account. Just in case your hot water heater goes. Just in case you have a roof leak. Just in case your car breaks down. And your right about the prices will come down. You are already seeing it.

XV Beacon has fireplaces in the room. And Mooo is a great steakhouse. It’s pricey but worth it. Or Boston Harbor Hotel. Get a room with water view. Or if you can, The Admiral suite has a a semi private balcony overlooking the harbor.

My town is on Halloween. There may have been a year or two where due to weather or something it was changed, but as long as I have lived here (29 yrs) it has been on Halloween. It’s up to each city/town to decide.

NH. We have been going to Newport 3-4 times a year for the last few years. We love The Chanler. They have the best staff. We also like that it’s only a couple of hours from home. Plus we like the history of the mansions and try to see at least one when we visit. I will definitely ask for recommendations next time.

603 Brewery opened in Londonderry right near MB. Apple picking is always a good time. We go to Lull in Hollis. It’s not to far but a nice ride. Keep in mind that Salem MA is going to be very busy this time of year if you don’t like crowds. And happy bday to your wife.
