Merge School Districts , Merge towns and Merge Counties and you will see a property tax decrease or slowdown... Do we really need 21 counties in this state or towns the size of a 0.5 square miles , or 686 school districts...or police department in every town...?

Covid killed alot of 24/7 places even most of NYC is dead after 12am now...even busy highway spots shut down after 1 or 2am on weekends...Hopefully that trend reverses after inflation goes down.

That line is not at capacity... Its lightly used compared to other lines that have a freight train every hour. That can also easily be upgraded as it was mostly cut back to a single track but the ROW supports 2-3 tracks.

A lot of the looting incidents are due to gangs...often reselling things... I'm talking about the rise in Road Rage , Domestic violence , random violence like being pushed onto the tracks on the subway or punched walking down the street....and its not always people who look mentally ill...its increasingly normal people without any criminal history just snapping and killing people.

Crime is trending up nation wide in deep red and blue areas , places with strict policing and places without... A lot of it is tied to Mental Health and certain politicians egging on the mentally unstable.

You could do one for traffic lights at least in nearby Baltimore which still has a lot of old lights along with North Jersey. The light in my town dates back to the 1950s...

If traveling into the city isn't an issue you can take the metro north hudson line up to beacon,ny from grand central. Sit on the left side for views of the harlem and Hudson river. At beacon there is a free shuttle bus that will take you into downtown and at the eastern end of the downtown is small waterfall.

At night some of the blocks feel abit shady closer to the Parkway I only went over there to see a friend who has since moved. But during the day it was fine. Bloomfield seems to be investing in street upgrades with an emphasis of pedestrian safety over the last few years.. I have noticed that since the newer developments have gone up that during rush hr that area has become abit chaotic..
