No. It’s spread through close contact or touching objects that a contagious person has touched as well as respiratory droplets, the same way that chicken pox is spread. The reason it has been such a big deal in the gay community and not so much the daycare and elementary school community is simply that it was the community that had an outbreak first and the two groups don’t meet that often. Gay men are also very health conscious and are more likely to seek medical help.

No. New laws were enacted after two major events. The Jerry Sandusky shit and the Catholic pedo shit. It used to be that parents could volunteer in schools and now everyone that is near children or the elderly has to do an FBI background check.

Also, mandatory reporting laws were updated so now if you are even just peer tutoring or other volunteer work, you become a mandatory reporter and have to take a short class and report even the suspicion of abuse.

I don’t think these numbers reflect what’s happening in the Amish community at all though. They have special exceptions for basically everything.

The last tremors sequel was painful. I’m the type of person who is all about suspending my belief in order to be entertained by a stupid movie. But just wow. A thin and yet somehow confusing plot strung together by endless cliche. The character tropes go hard but there is zero of the self awareness of the first film. And I call it a film because it’s a masterpiece.
