Steven Wilson - The Raven That Refused to Sing
The Contortionist - Monochrome (Pensive)
Leprous - Distant Bells
Devin Townsend Project - Higher
I tried to pick songs that were very uplifting, lyrically meaningful and instrumentally moving without being overly complex and fast-paced.

In 2018, I saw my 2 most favorite bands, Haken & Leprous, who were touring together. They had amazing setlists and their performances were flawless.

Are you looking for awesome, powerful, meaningful songs that are on a similar level as that song in terms of tempo & genre?

Steven Wilson. Start with his albums Hand Cannot Erase. (2015), The Raven That Refused to Sing (2013) and To the Bone (2017).
Also, if you're interested, check out his band Porcupine Tree. This dude is one of the greatest songwriters of all time. Anyone in their right mind would agree once they hear his music.

Yep. My favorite band is Haken (pronounced "Hay-ken"), a prog metal band from England. I'd say they're a lot more creative than nearly all highly successful bands/artists, but I'd never label them as the "greatest". You can only equate greatness with how successful you are, and in the world of popular music, success usually doesn't equal unparalleled creativity.

No, there is no such thing. People like different music for different reasons. It suits their tastes and makes them happy.
However, when people say *insert famous pop artist name here* is the greatest or most creative without taking into account musical ingenuity & innovation, in-depth lyricism & themes, and instrumental talent, that pisses me off. Saying a 3 min. rehashed pop song is more amazing or creative than, say, a 20-minute prog rock/metal epic is asinine.
When it comes to music, there really is no "greatest", just who's the most successful. But again, all music tastes are different. Be glad you have music you enjoy in your life.

Reply to I'm going to play black/doom metal with some friends on Halloween. Song suggestions? by the_best_pear
Here are some Halloween-sounding songs that I could see you guys playing. They are metal songs, but not super fast. They also aren't black/doom metal, but they're doomy enough imo to suggest:
Uneven Structure - Succube & Funambule (These 2 songs are next to each other on their album's track listing, so Succube will end abruptly on the video I linked because it transitions into Funambule.)
Leprous - Passing (I think this one will work best for you guys.)
Between the Buried and Me - The Future is Behind Us (For this song, I suggested it because the second half of it is heavy af and when watching the music video, the song seems more eerie.)
Gojira - Vacuity (I can definitely see you guys playing this.)
Also, the first 3 songs listed contain a mix of clean & harsh vocals and the 4th song is purely harsh vocals.

Reply to comment by Poyo9 in What do you think could be the next trending genre of rock? by Poyo9
Well of course it isn't original to do, it's been around for quite some time now, but there are plenty of prog bands that rose to relevancy in the 2010s keeping the genre alive and they're still, slowly but surely, getting more popular, bands that are way proggier than Led Zeppelin Jr. And by older generation do you mean before millennials? 'Cause if not, I'd say millennials & gen. z are discovering prog left & right.
