Finishing some housekeeping that's long overdue (while dad was in the hospital the bare minimum was getting done) and plotting on tons of organizing and decluttering in the upcoming weeks.

Tonight a friend is coming over to watch the wrestling ppv tonight with the husband. My role in this is to mock each match mercilessly, with bonus points for especially amusing zingers about individual wrasslers. It's kind of a tradition we have.

Made some asian-style noodles with a ton of veggies (cabbage, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, water chestnuts) in the instant pot on Monday. I'm weird and prefer lo mein (and egg rolls) cold, so this has been great for an all-week lunch prep 🤌🏻

Back to work (and in-office, at that!). I think I've seen one other person here so far.

I've got one fairly large project to submit today (it's not even hard, just tedious), but I have a feeling it's going to be a slow week after that.

Also it is freakin FREEZING in here. I'm about to put my gloves back on.

Husband and I are both off today, so it's a lazy Monday with a Yellowstone marathon until I go see dad at MRMC later this evening. Back to work tomorrow for a short week, then off again next Monday.

Still absolutely floored at the gifts I got for Christmas - husband got us tickets to go to a Caps game (I've never been!) And his parents got us tickets to go see Hamilton when it comes back through in April!

Woke up around 1130 last night in so much pain I was shaking.

I thought Santa was supposed to bring bad kids lumps of coal, not kidney stones 😔

Teleworking from bed with lemon water and a heating pad it is!

Last day in-office for the week.

My parking deck is across from my building, and my shoes are soaked through. So I'll be working barefoot while hoping that the paper towels I stuffed in them dries them out before quitting time.

Put a little tree in the bedroom last weekend, put the rest of everything up on Friday. Its not a whole lot (the apartment is only so big), but it's enough for the husband, the cat and me.

Dad starts cancer treatment today for the next 6 weeks, so I'm very much wanting comforting things surrounding me. Christmas lights help.
