You definitely gotta play around a bit to find a machine that you like. I personally like machines that I feel like I can manipulate a little (even though that’s probably all in my head) to improve my odds. There is an old school machine that I have figured out a little system with that’s fun to play for that reason, but there are other games that have cool animations and stuff that make them fun to play even if you are losing.

Dopamine is what your body releases to keep you gambling even though you are losing (the same way your body releases it to convince you to have a cigarette if your addicted). Serotonin is what gets released when you win!

There are a lot of people who get irrationally upset at my user name which is why you will often find my comments down voted for no good reason, but only in this subreddit lol. It’s ok though, I find it amusing.

Yeah you should never go to a casino if you can’t afford to lose money. I usually take a couple hundred bucks but I always go under the assumption that I’m going to leave broke. If that’s not ok with you, then don’t go.

They also have a neat feature where if you use the rewards card you can actually track how much you have won and lost, so if you ever need a reality check you can see how much in the negative you are. Over the last two years I’ve lost about $2000, which isn’t that bad considering how many hours of entertainment I’ve gotten.

I’ve had three neighbors in the apartment next door in the last two years (they keep getting evicted) and every one of them smoked like crazy even though it’s a non smoking building. Pot smoke would fill the halls every afternoon and night, and if they had their windows open it would blow from their windows into mine. Sucks how some people have zero consideration for others.

I’m cool with weed being legal but Maine sure smelled a lot nicer before it was.

Probably a bunch of grow operations that decided they don’t want anyone sniffing around their crops.

Indoor tennis requires a huge amount of space which has to be temperature controlled and well lit. Think of all the other things you could do with that space. They have to charge a decent price it it wouldn’t be worth it.

It’s never too early. I leave whatever tires I happen to have on my car on all year long. Just don’t drive like an idiot and you’ll be fine. When it’s time to buy new ones I just go for all season tires, which probably makes a tiny fraction of a difference in traction compared to winter tires.

Fort Popham is great for bird watching, especially if you go there at dusk! Even better if it's near low tide. There is almost always a heron or two, lots of cormorants, ducks, and random sea birds (I love the little guys who dive bomb for fish, though it might be too late in the year to see them), and there is a pair of Bald Eagles you can sometimes see flying over the water. They sometimes raid the pigeons who live at Fort Popham. Speaking of which if it hasn't been caught by the eagles yet, there is a pure white pigeon that lives in the fort as well.

On the drive to Popham there is a good chance you will see a few hawks, ospreys, or even some turkeys as well!
