Yeah you can't really blame Walmart for this. The poles are there to prevent idiots from running into people or other cars. Bumping into the poles happens on a daily basis (I noticed just yesterday that three of the poles are already bent even though they were just replaced this summer), but in order to flip your car on one of these poles you have to be driving way too fast and aggressively. This person definitely deserved to have their car flipped.

Just give them another billion dollar grant from the federal government and they'll happily install fiber!

Just kidding, the telecom industry was already given 10's of billions to install fiber infrastructure and they took the money and instead of using it for fiber, the money just magically disappeared and hardly any fiber was installed. And there were zero consequences so they'll happily do it again.

Most of what you throw in the recycling bin ends up shipped to China and then burned or dumped into the ocean. The only thing that actually gets recycled is metal.

On top of that, from what I read, the process of recycling creates more pollution than just making new plastic.

Employers are required to pay even service workers minimum wage if they don’t make enough tips to make up the difference, so you can rest assured, all service workers make at least minimum wage (and most make way more than the cooks).

I tip based solely in the service I receive. If it’s good, I tip 20% or more. If it suck’s, I won’t tip. If I am paying and picking up my food somewhere myself, and the credit card reader asks if I want to leave a tip, the answer is no, unless the place looks really busy and the employees look stressed, then I’ll leave a tip sometimes.

Honestly I probably wouldn’t go if they didn’t keep sending me free slot money and rooms. They give me $75-100 in free play plus a hotel room. On a lucky night I never have to spend a dime of my own money unless I want food or drinks.

Those two links you posted basically agree with me. For example the first thing the dopamine article suggests is that dopamine is released by something like smelling a cookie, and that’s what makes you want to eat the cookie, or at least continue to smell it. Dopamine is the motivator, while serotonin is the reward. If your body only received dopamine you would never want to leave the casino, but the serotonin released when you win is what makes you feel happy and satisfied and that’s why it’s much easier to leave after you have won big.
