That’s a good one. I love how the traffic drops right off after the I-84 interchange (Was going to say exit 9. Still working on remembering the new numbers.)

Mt. Greylock is the highest peak in the Berkshires AND the rest of Massachusetts.

I consider the Berkshires WMass. It’s not Pioneer Valley WMass.

I’m not making fun of you, OP, but this post reminds me of my grandmother.
I had a cousin who, apparently, wasn’t learning how to read. “It’s because the kids aren’t learning phonics anymore!” She kept saying. Maybe so, but the kid also had a learning disability.

Yesterday someone decided that the fact that I was going to stop at a stop sign was too much. Passed me, and then blew right through the stop to keep going. I imagine that they saved an entire 10 seconds.

There are three very legit seafood markets in my little East Bay town. Just find a local guy.

The last time I traveled, I didn’t find Air BnB to be any cheaper than a hotel. We went with the Air BnB because it was located more conveniently to where we needed to be.
Plus there have been so many stories of bad hosts coupled with terrible responses from Air BnB (basically non-responses,) that I’m no longer sure if I would even bother taking the chance. We’re going away next month and chose a hotel. Didn’t even occur to us to look at Air BnB.

Also, check out Good Fortune Market in South Providence. I’m there now, and there’s a wide assortment of miso.

Reply to Boston college has a policy that employees' kids can attend for free, as long as they are accepted. This janitor has five kids, all of whom got in, saving nearly $700k in tuition. by ClnclyDprsd420
When I was in college, employees got a tuition benefit. One of my profs said that there were a lot of overqualified people working all kinds of low-level jobs at the school so their kids could go there.
It’s a testament to that father’s emphasis on education that all his kids got into BC and graduated.

I mean, by now, it’s on the homeowner to have changed addresses on accounts. Junk mail you can’t do much about, but I’m surprised how quickly most junk senders updated our address. They were more efficient than the USPS.

We recently moved and our mail forwarding suuuuuuuuucked. I’ve moved several times in the past and the USPS forwarding service was always amazingly fine. Like, I couldn’t understand how it worked so well.
I don’t know what happened in the past decade, but a lot of our mail either got returned or delivered to our old address. Random crap got forwarded. This, of course, included all our junk mail.
Thankfully our tenant was super chill about sending us what arrived, but was a pain for a few weeks.
