What happened is horrible and extremely sad. But, based on what’s been reported, there were a number of witnesses and there hasn’t been any indication (yet) that the driver did anything wrong.

This question is impossible to answer because it’s totally based on your personal preferences. Do you want a rural lifestyle with a lower cost of living and easy access to outdoor recreation? Or do you want to live in a larger community with more access to services, shopping, night life/social life, and a more temperate climate?

If the former, pick Bethlehem. If the latter, pick Charlottesville.

The 2010 election was the “tea party” wave and Obama’s first midterm. Anybody with a R next to their name (except Christine “I’m not a witch” O’Donnell) won that year.

In 2016, Ayotte played Hokey Pokey with the Trump supporters and the never Trump republicans…so both sides of her base ended up distrusting her. She was in a no win situation, though. If she had gone full Trump, she wouldn’t have won. If she had gone full never Trump, she wouldn’t have won.

Hey, are you impugning the journalistic integrity of…checks notes…California Refugee? Mr. Refugee clearly did a lot of research on this article including taking a screenshot of the Conservation Commission members from the town website.

The infrastructure bill is actually having significant benefits. Dozens of local bridge projects around the state have been advanced. Also, large projects that were underfunded and languishing are now fully funded and have advanced to the engineering phase. Some communities are even receiving direct federal grants. For instance, Manchester just got awarded a $25 million grant from the infrastructure bill to make improvements throughout the City, including reconstructing the Queen City Ave/Cilley/Willow Street interchange.

I’ll take your word for it, as it sounds like you know more about the House’s parliamentary procedures than I do. My knowledge of Executive Session outcomes is limited to ITL, OTP, or OTP with Amendment. But, it sounds like there may be different outcomes for bills referred for interim study.

I don’t know anything about this bill, but according to the General Court docket, whatever version of the bill that’s coming out of Interim Study is scheduled for Executive Session on 10/18/22 at 1:30 PM. The bill won’t actually be dead unless they ITL it on the 18th.

I defended you elsewhere in this thread, and I do think that some of your comments are articulate and reasonable. But, saying stuff like this seems like an attempt to provoke people and the downvotes are justified. The world is more nuanced than this, and surely you realize that.

FWIW, I don’t think you deserve many of the downvotes you get. There are people here who are definitely trolls who say stuff just to provoke a reaction, but you’ve never struck me as one of those people. I probably don’t personally agree with 80% of your comments, but don’t downvote you just because I may disagree. The world becomes boring when people all have the same opinions.
