It is and over extremely small things.
Probably the best piece of advice I've ever been given about carrying a gun is that I don't get to have ego battles. No road rage, no arguing with someone being stupid, and no drinking with a gun on your person. You will still get mad, you will still get annoyed or bothered by others, but you have the responsibility of something that comes with lethal force on you and there is no parking spot, shitty neighbor or bad driving worth ruining your life over. Let it go, get back to your life and your business. Water off a duck's back is my turn of phrase for this when I'm telling others.

No. Most folks don't think all of this through, particularly on their first encounter with something fucky. They get shaken up by it. That's why I lay it down how I did.
Not my first rodeo. If you don't like what I have to say, you're welcome to move along. It's worth exactly what you paid for it.

Read the first sentence. Read it again. If you didn't mean kill him, what exactly did you mean? Make him a sandwich? Call him an uber?
Own what you said. Own how dumb it was.

This but don't expect police help. Police exist for 3 reasons: Paperwork for the court system, responding to stuff after it occurs and possibly solving major crimes like murder or arson. That's about it.
Some dude knocking on your door and sayin creepy shit might not even register on their radar depending on how busy their night is. Like it or not, nothing bad actually happened, so they might not show up at all. Welcome to calling police.
> I've grabbed the baseball bat.
This is Missouri, I would highly suggest some form of firearm in your home if it doesn't put anyone living there at great immediate risk and then have you and your girlfriend need to get training on how to use it. Too many people buy guns thinking they're magic talismans whose sheer presence will ward off stuff like this. They don't.
It's a machine. If you've never drove a car once in your life and have an emergency where you need to go to the hospital as quickly as possible without forethought without any driving skill how good do you think you would be? Exactly. Buy gun, get training, practice. Shooting is perishable and it's a responsibility too few people take seriously.
If guns are out because of mental health or criminal background or whatnot, look into good quality pepper spray. POM makes a good one for carrying around, S&W makes a large can that is duty use and like 10 dollars.
Life isn't a movie, subduing people, particularly people who aren't in the right state of mind can be extremely difficult.
Locking up your doors and windows and keeping a watchful but not paranoid eye out tonight is a good idea. So don't put earbuds in, don't keep the TV excessively loud, etc.
Don't be on edge, you're probably not being purposefully focused. Just pay attention.

As someone who has carried a gun on my person for 15+ years and who has a lot of detailed knowledge of self defense cases: No.
Legal shootings can be like buying a car and setting it on fire in terms of legal fees. It depends on the circumstances and if the DA's office will prosecute. All shootings that end in fatality are homicides, it's just if they're justified or not. Having dipshit evidence like 'just leave the door unlocked' doesn't work in your favor and homicide cases will 100% look through your social media for evidence of you being a dumbass.
Castle doctrine is a thing in this state and I fully support it and armed people but it's fuddlore bullshit to 'shoot through the door'. Imminent serious threat of bodily harm to you or another.
Someone having a mental health issue on the other side of your locked door is not that until they gain access to your home without your consent.
Take this shit seriously, it is serious to kill someone. If nothing else your 20 grand in lawyers fees is a whole lot more fucking expensive than a door frame.

Not that I've seen but you're probably right. PF specifically markets to young men aged 18-25. I'm sure there's someone who helps them come back out of said rabbit hole, but I don't know if there is one in Springfield.

"Oddly enough, we didn't see any stickers past the 1.5 mile point. Couldn't make it the whole way?"
Part of people staying members of PF is that they have to do something that shows they're advancing the movement. The most common way is stickers or their spray paint tagging. So they will hike in a little bit, plaster their shit, take a photo for their discord or group chat to prove their shit and leave.
Don't ever expect to see it miles into a trail. That's not the point. This is why, it's a known tactic of the group. Since they're so online based, it's not hard to find out their tactics and membership and all of that.
I will bet money the PF members doing this shit are young college aged men with some fucked up views of the world.

You need to use a powered antenna and get it outside of your house. Hang it on a deck or something else that sits higher than a window. The higher you can get it the better. Try to get it above your gutters if at all possible.
Also, try to not use a directional antenna. A yagi is likely your best bet since you're in town and not 30 miles away pointing it at town.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0024R4B5C
Something like that. Just remember, get it up high. Just not so high it's a lightning magnet.
Something around 75-100 bucks will likely fit the bill for what you want. Digital TV signals are a bit different than old school TV signals. You need to have enough equipment that gets enough of the broadcast to have it be of any value. The above things deal with these issues.
Also, getting an outdoor antenna matters way way more than any 'long range' nonsense. Range is relative by obstruction. Houses and buildings are extremely obstructive, hence get above them.
EDIT: Something like this would also work and likely handle the elements better than the RCA Yagi. https://www.amazon.com/Outdoor-Antenna-Omni-Directional-Reception-Stability/dp/B089LMG6L4

Try Garbo's Pizza in Chesterfield Village.

St Louis style thin crust with provel. If you like Imos you will probably dig this place. I prefer St Louis style pizza and this one is on my short list.
I'd also suggest Arris Pizza if you like greek pizza and gyros.

Good pizza places exist, you just have to find all of the local ones and try them and be okay when you don't like a place.

Midwest style Chinese is fried chicken covered in a savory or sweet sauce with varying levels of complexity.
So it's fatty, salty, savory, sweet, sometimes spicy. That's pretty much all tasty foods.
You don't care for Midwest style. Own it. It's not for you. That doesn't mean it's bad.
I don't like Oreos. That doesn't mean everyone who does is objectively wrong.

In short: No. It all pretty much stayed the same for our reps. Biggest things were KCPD funding(Kansas city doesn't control it's police due to a corruption scandal decades ago) and legalized marijuana that can't be overturned or ignored by our legislature. They have to work with it, that's why it was set as an amendment.

No, they didn't vote to 'end slavery'. They voted to remove slavery from their state constitutions. Those state laws were enulled by the 14th amendment.
The idea that this has modern implications is nonsensical. This is a procedural vote that's basically feel good. As long as the 14th amendment is a thing states can't make new state level laws about actual slavery.

They do not. KFC does and it's extremely sad.
When I have fried chicken as a cheat day, I want it to be Nashville hot. I don't want a fried chicken sandwich, I don't want tenders, I want bone in fried chicken that makes my mouth spit fire.
Hot cluckers was as close as we realistically had.

Yep, they're pretty much always used in fundraisers as well as stipulations like no hands, no face, arms only, etc etc. just to keep it as straightforward for the artists as possible to get the most people inked in a day as they can.
Flash can be useful for someone who cannot decide on a design or to get an idea of the style of an artist. It can be a way to show off.

There are no licensed firearms. MO doesn't have a license for you to have a gun.
One of the court cases still making it's way is that MO is one of the only states that punishes local law enforcement for doing the work of federal police. Federal police can still operate but they cannot use local law enforcement to enact their work.
The DOJ doesn't like that, despite it becoming a law. Because of this and the liability that officers face personally as well as the department, a lot of the 'federal only' things have effectively stopped being enforced.
The one caveat I would say to this is that in Mark Twain national forest and other national forests, park rangers have law enforcement abilities and you are on federal land. A joint and a gun walking around a federal park, any federal park, will not end well if you're caught.
As for just going about your day, since ATF or FBI or DEA aren't likely to be around, you're probably okay but it really depends on the location and police force.
It is still a felony to be in possession of controlled substances and a firearm at the same time.

Funny, that law already exists. It's even written into the existing law that you cannot hold office post conviction.

They already did. Try google.
If you hold such strong beliefs you should really spend 30 seconds looking first at what already exists. Just saying.
