Pretty much it right here, clean efficient energy source we keep trying to shut down.

Interesting, they sold it as “BioHeat Heating Oil” which was less sulfur and an additive like Lucus tuneup in a bottle.
Doesn’t surprise me, my oil tank is like 60 years old so it wouldn’t matter anyway. But that was their justification for the higher oil prices

According to my oil company, it’s cleaner because they put additives in it that also clean my oil tank and lines!

Useless. Should have been 5 cents returnable deposit then people would pocket their nips and return them.
Just a government money grab. Leaches.

Reply to Fellow residents I know many of you are worried about heating/utility prices for winter but prepare yourself for food prices also. by IndicationOver
The price gouging is ridiculous and that’s just what it is.
When I walk into Walmart and milk is 4 dollars, dozen eggs 5. Then in aldis it’s 2.71\3 dollars still.
There is an issue of just pumping up the prices. When CVS is still selling eggs at 5 a dozen and it matches the big Y price.
Are we selling food based on “futures” as well now. That’s just one example, i mean I just bought 10 boxes of pasta at my local grocery store for 99 cents like it always has been.
It’s $1.89 at other stores, it’s ridiculous and people who shop at Walmart don’t help because they are clearing the shelves like Covid times again

I noticed you put “none of them” on one. When going in they always say “each line must be filled in or it won’t take your ballot”
I’ll have to look into that option, I’ve always just picked a random person if I didn’t like the top 2.

Haha, I’ve always said that. But you would expose and embarrass a lot of people if they started voting on issues only ;)

I agree, especially for my small town. I hardly get info on who is running and for what. Even the town website doesn’t have like an election thing or place to put the candidates.
I always show up seeing names I don’t know.
Just got the Blue post card in the mail yesterday that said “Vote Row A, Democrat”
Fine, but we can at least put an attempt to be informative. Lol

I tend to agree with this, OP seems very patient. This is newsworthy, give them a call and watch Home Depot get a company to make this priority.
Hopefully worst case is a couple weeks in a hotel that is paid for.

I haven’t seen any place that allows locking in a rate. At least in Hartford county.
Just going to watch and wait, https://www.cheapestoil.com/heating-oil-prices/Connecticut
Cheapest rates are $4.99 right now

The related article, don’t really care how people feel about the signs. They all look like crap.
But two adults, one who is a lawyer stealing signs in front of a business at 10pm is pretty trashy and childish.

You don’t need much, enough for first and last deposit on an apartment. As long as you are fully employed and have your bills planned out.

Regular snow tires are fine, if you already have front wheel drive that’s great in the winter.
Some better tread will help, but for the most part it’s just about adjusting to how we drive in each different type of snow environment that becomes the trick.
