Reply to Strange World fits nicely in Disney’s niche ‘animated sci-fi box-office bomb’ category by MuvyTikit
I agree it was delightful, and I think it’s messages felt more genuine than many other Disney movies.
I’m surprised so many people dislike it and that Disney has barely marketed it.

I don’t care that no one cares. I’m just pointing out the inaccuracy of the comment.

Purchasing movies on sale on iTunes is always an option. They have most movies, and new sales every week or two.

No such thing as a legal backup. If you buy a Blu-Ray or DVD you only have a license to play it on that disc. Any copy is a violation of that license.

Don’t let what anyone else tells you influence your opinion. Then it’s not your opinion.
I love to watch movies as blind as possible, and just let myself be surprised by the story and the filmmaking aspects.
I recommend isolating yourself as much as possible so that your attention is immersed in the film. Make the room dark and silence your phone. This is why I love going to the cinema so much. It’s much easier to isolate and lose myself in the film.

Analyse is the correct spelling outside the US.

I’m not American. If I was, I wouldn’t have to use iTunes. It’s the only decent rental service available in my country.
I literally just asked a question because I’m curious. Why do you have to be such a dick about it?

What service let’s you download a 20gb movie?
I wouldn’t expect more than 10-12gb for that on something like iTunes.
Also having a 4K HDR tv doesn’t improve the quality of a 1080p movie.
Edit: just checked my own iTunes copy of the movie, it’s just less than 10gb.

Reply to In your opinion, which is better? The original Star Wars Trilogy, or Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy? by Absuridity_Octogon
Star Wars for me is just so boring.
I think there’s some creative ideas in it and The Empire Strikes Back is a pretty decent movie. But none of them are incredible.
Every minute of LotR is incredible to me. The filmmaking is just insane, and the story is much more potent. Movies like this rarely get made.

Reply to Inspired by r/books: what is a movie you saw young, that you shouldn't have? by CinnamonMixture
Funny story about me first seeing The Return of the King.
The first time I saw any of it I was definitely too young. I knew I wasn’t allowed to watch it, but my brother was watching it and so I sat on a stool in the hallway and literally watched through a tiny crack in the door. I saw the scene of Sam and Frodo trying to climb mount doom, and perhaps some of the confrontation in the centre of the volcano.
Then when it finally came time for me to actually be allowed to watch it, my mum didn’t want me to see the very first scene. So we skipped it and I saw the rest.
Literally as soon as we finished I downloaded the movie onto my iPod nano and I watched the whole movie again, including the first scene.
I still have chills watching that scene.
