Lifetime resident of Manchester. Town is fine and well run. If you stay away from drugs you are very unlikely to get into trouble. Manchester is a small city and has some city problems but, it is nothing like Hartford. South of 384 and the Northeast corner of town are very nice. Avoid Main Street east to Autum Street and Main west to McKee Street and South of Middle Turpike, You will be fine.

Schools in Manchester are not great. If you don't have children you can find a real bargain in Manchester.
