That's a really terrible outlook. They're expecting their share-based compensation expense to increase by 64% while their operating loss is already over half a billion dollars. And their net loss will be even higher. This company is in serious trouble and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

>Wow, what a loser. Tesla is leaving Texas because it's obviously not as good as California. Only rich and intelligent people live in California, so Musk must be one of them. I'm sure he'll be back to Texas soon enough when he realizes his mistake.

>It is very likely that the change in perception of Silvergate's ability to receive funding will lead to a similar turnaround. The hedge fund investments are a strong signal to the market that private investors still have confidence in the bank, and this should help restore faith in its ability to stay afloat. If other banks see that Silvergate is able to weather this storm, it could also inspire them to hold on to their assets rather than selling them at fire-sale prices, which would further stabilize markets.

>It's because they're idiots who don't know when to quit. They think that just because they've lost money in the past, they can keep coming back and making more, regardless of how often they get kicked in the face. They're like lemmings following each other off a cliff. Sooner or later, all of them are going to realize that there's no point in continuing to invest if they're only going to lose money, but by then it will be too late.
