No, this is a tangent: "Help! I'm in a tangent! How did I get into this bloody great big tangent? What kind of tangent has an angle like this?"

Would #metoo and #blacklivesmatter and LGTBQ+ movements have been as powerful (or existed) without social media? Political dissent and protests? Don’t forget Obama’s election in 2008 had a large social media factor (just like politics today, regardless of one’s political leanings)
Sometimes the hard line stance that social media is bad feels like throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Reply to Why the App Store’s tone-deaf gambling ads make me worry about Apple | We've seen ads ruin the user experience of nearly every product under the sun. by chrisdh79
Apple is not a privacy-first company.
They are a company-company that wants to make money.
They’re looking for increased places to make money, and right now that’s ads. They implemented “ask app not to track” to make themselves more appealing whilst driving out ads competition. Which, again, is good for the consumer but let’s not fool ourselves that it’s altruistic.
Now that they’re getting more into ads, get ready for them to hit all the same problems that other ads driven companies have had to deal with.

USB C specs are as good if not better than Lightning, sounds like it is better.
Physical port robustness is indeed slightly better from what I read, but I haven’t spoken to anyone with USB C port issues, nor have I experienced this myself.
Any issues have been very manufacturer specific. I.e. Apple could make a very reliable USB C port if they wanted.

Do people realize that “pro-Beijing” means pro CCP? It would be being a CCP shill to allow the group to continue despite breaking community rules.
Is this comment being upvoted ironically or something? Am I taking crazy pills?
