I suspect that Penguin actually does understand how addiction works, because he seemed to have a serious alcohol problem last time he was in office. You may recall that he left a drunken, threatening rant for Legislature member Drew Gattine that made Maine look like a third world regime.

His logic was that people struggling with addiction might learn different behavior by watching their peers die from overdoses. He is a person who doesn’t have compassion for other people. Presque Isle is a tiny town near the Canadian border. It’s about 4 1/2 hours to the nearest ‘city’, Bangor, population about 40k. The real advantage of the Presque Isle Program and the thing that makes it different from the Umaine campuses, is it’s online programming. The campus does not offer much that you wouldn’t find in high school in a large city.

I don’t know what it would mean to be an active member of the school, outside of participating through the online activities. The campus is extremely isolated and small. That being said the university system is it held in high regard in offers a quality education.

The speed limit is 70, meaning I'm going 74. If somebody needs to go faster than that, they will need to wait until I'm out of their way. I'll be in the left lane if there are cars going slower than 74.

As a local JetSki owner, I can tell you I regard a vacationer on something like this as a ‘traffic cone’, around which to carve tight corners.
