This should be higher up. I'm pretty sure this was the first "gravy" I ever made for a big friend dinner, mostly because of a weird love affair with Ween. He makes Sunday gravy seem so easy and achievable, and tossing the pasta with a little cheese to increase stickiness and surface area is GENIUS and I do it every time I make a big pasta dish now. DO NOT burn the garlic!

What is up with all of these posts today? Do people not trick or treat in their own neighborhoods? Do people really DRIVE to trick or treat?
In some other threads people keep mentioning my ‘hood and now it’s starting to make sense that I ran out of candy (300+ pieces) in a couple hours.

Oh yeah, I’d definitely recommend OP finish whatever degree they were working on. I got the sense that they needed a job with benefits NOW, which is why I suggested the entry level stuff.

Has your doctor declared you 100% permanently disabled? If so, they should be able to point you in the right direction as to your next steps.
I doubt this is the case, though, as there are tons of people out in the workforce in wheelchairs, with one leg, with zero legs. Can you look into entry-level call center roles or roles where you can sit? Some grocery stores, etc. will allow you to scan items/check out customers while seated.
Edited to add: Your edit makes this sound even sketchier. Your doctor “listed you as disabled” before they attempted to replace your knee? Have you had a replacement? None of this, medically, makes much sense.

Add on questions:
- What time? I remember last year it seemed to drag on forever...like 5pm-9pm. I ran out of candy, so not really sure when the kids stopped coming
- Last year I had a cooler full of canned adult beverages with a sign that said "Treats for 21+ only." My neighbor lost her mind and threatened to report me for furnishing alcohol to minors. The only people who took them were definitely 21+. HOW MUCH BEER SHOULD I BUY THIS YEAR?

Weird! I’ve been a member for 10 years and have never not been asked for ID.

That's crazy to me! I've been carded EVERY time I go to the zoo with my membership. If I were OP I'd hope they'd let in the 2nd person but I'd still be prepared to pay for them!

Pretty sure the family membership is for two named adults (they’re pretty stringent when it comes to checking ID’s). Whether you can show your membership and your ID and not have them ID the other person is probably up to whoever is scanning. I’d be prepared to pay for the other adult.

The Bridge Clinic is probably the least expensive you'll find, yet still high quality medicine.
Whatever you do, DO NOT allow someone to clean your kitty's teeth without taking x-rays first. Just like in people, the majority of kitty dental disease lives under the gumline. You will waste all of your $$ if you forego the radiographs, and your kitty may need a second procedure in short time if you do.

Definitely do this! Never a good idea to make an enormous change after only a couple months of stability. Get yourself established, make sure that stability lasts, then consider a cross-country move.

He said “build very tall [affordable] housing in place of this empty business” and the city said “no we can’t because we said a really little bit of this property can’t be a tall building a long time ago and it would be too much paperwork to change that, so here’s an empty McDonald’s. Enjoy!”
