This, I'm fairly sure. Unless it's so wet the fireworks won't go off, they're going off.

I feel like the people who own a giant Jesus statue probably profess to, though.

Just so you know, several of the food delivery apps specifically advise you not to meet the driver unless you have to.

Cookies (except some fancy ones like biscotti or Russian tea cakes) and cakes are some of the easiest things to make. Get a recipe off the interwebs. Ginger snaps are seasonal, but require some less common ingredients that you may not have on hand, so I'd recommend something like a chocolate chip shortbread instead. Shortbread is still seasonally appropriate and is just butter, sugar, and flour.

To be clear, we're not mean or rude (unless we're driving), but we're definitely not friendly. Like we'll help you out if you need a hand, but we're not going to engage in idle chitchat with a stranger.

So, they drive on the left in Japan. Is it possible that your headlights point the wrong way? (For those who don't know, headlights are not symmetrical; they're designed to throw more light towards the side of the road and less toward the middle.)

That's where the Red Line splits today. The Braintree branch parallels the Ashmont branch past Savin Hill without stopping.

I think July 4 is only Sunday in the morning. There's extra rush service after the fireworks.

I'd love to go to a Revolution game, but they're impossible to get to if you don't drive.

It's not the best WiFi, but it's serviceable. I'd buy lunch at South Station instead of onboard, but if you want just a snack, the café car is fun.

Amtrak owns some of the tracks on the Northeast Corridor. Some is owned by MBTA, ConnDOT, or New York MTA. It is all owned by passenger operations though, which is the key.

I've purchased it both onboard and for the ticket counter at South Station. Granted, this was pre-pandemic, so maybe the rules have changed.

Excuse me there tourist, you must not be familiar with the bay state of Massachusetts. It is actually "on Cape Cod," not "in Cape Cod." Please enjoy this map that we found to help you out.

Five years ago, I was able to live alone on $65k in Cambridge of all places. Granted, rents have gone up since then, but not so much that you couldn't easily do the same on $90k.

And the museums and theaters will all still be open (barring a major snowstorm) if you enjoy that kind of thing.
