I know alot of Evangelicals and Penecostals who voted to pass amendment 3.

I voted for amendment 3 as well. The NIMBYS seemed to have shot down the other big one unfortunately.

We moved here recently from Illinois and the Dems there have left a terrible taste in my mouth after what happened with Covid. Voted almost all GOP here which kind of sucks as there's not much policy wise they put forward. (Would have preferred Vance type of canidate honestly.)

Ill be voting for it.

I can't tell completely, but it doesnt seem to have the same issue as Illinois did where you had to pay like 200k and make the case that your business partners are more oppressed/more marginalized than some other applicant so you should get the license instead. (Basically the oppression Olympics)

They seem to have dodged that bullet which is why some of the most social justice "muh equity" groups dont support it because they dont get first dibs on it because of prior historical grievances. (Get in line is my view on that.)

I will admit the "Chief Equity Officer" stuff made me do a double take because anything with "Equity" inserted into it usually means you will be further back in line depending on who can compete better for you in having less privilege.

I'm not sure how different it is for housing, but in the workplace employees can not only ask what your need for an ADA work place accommodation or leave, but give you forms that your health care providerwould need to fill out.

Even after that they can still refuse your accommodation if it places too much "pressure" on the business needs both financially and in terms of effectiveness. This of course is subjective, but could become a compliance (legal) or liability issue if a company isn't careful.

If you want to know message me. I work in this field, but aren't big on giving details away about my employer in this day and age.
