Even though I do not like krasners policies, violent crime is up considerably nationwide. Pair that with a lousy police union no shit the stats are bad in Philly. This was a political stunt by the GOP because they are mad Philly has so much sway with large elections.

We did the same thing! Did a nice honeymoon afterwards though, still better than dropping 15k for one day.

We eloped using the bucks county Quaker self uniting marriage. Was a zoom call with the clerk and and they sent us the paper work. Signed it with our parents as witnesses in our kitchen. Total cost of $60. Ended up cancelling our wedding we started to plan and saved $15k but still did a nice honeymoon in Turks and Caicos.

I talked with one once when I was in my local joint. He had a pet squirrel that he saved. Someone told the game Commission which made him release it. Climbed up a tree and fell instantly and died right in front of them. Rip lil homie

I lived in Philly and then in bucks county for a few years. You COULD take the bus to get around, but trying to accomplish anything in a reasonable amount of time with ease would be impossible. The city is one thing, but not the burbs.

I wouldn’t consider this truck a shitbox necessarily, it just needs some TLC. It’s a leisure vehicle for me, I’ve wanted an OBS ford for years. Hell, I just want to be able to drive it to work once a week and go pickup stuff from a store every once in a while.

I’m reading the website and forms too. It’s full of grey areas and it literally can be interpreted multiple ways. I’d totally understand the concern if I was using the antique registration process to use as a daily driver, but it’s literally a pappy truck project for occasional use.

Yeah I’m not doing that, but you make it seem like there are these life and death restrictions lol. It’s going to get driven not that much, I have a modern daily driver. This truck is literally going to be my fun collectible project truck. Maybe I’ll go to Lowe’s with it to pickup stuff, guess I’ll get it impounded.

Sounds like the perfect registration for a project pappy truck. That law is so poorly worded you can basically do whatever you want. Is a local cop going to sit and watch my driveway and count how many times i drive it a week?

I think you are confused on what the term “antique” is classified. The super old vehicles pre 1976 are a different class, antique in this case is 25 years old or more. Vintage plate class is the class that you are describing. The truck I’m buying is a 1994, just can’t use it as a primary driver and essentially is legally limited to once per week of driving by how the law is written, but it’s a grey area hot mess. With my insurance I can just put it down as a “pleasure vehicle”, which is lower than 5k miles per year.

That is specified nowhere on the FAQ on penndot’s website. Can always revert it back, it’s a project truck but 95% road worthy
Quoted from the site:
“No person may operate a vehicle with antique or classic registration plates for commercial purposes or for general daily transportation. Permitted use is limited to participation in club activities, exhibits, tours, parades and similar uses, and for occasional transportation.”

Gotcha, I wasn’t sure if I had to do the regular title/registration transfer, and THEN do the antique thing. Was hoping to do it all at once so it would be road legal to drive same day

This, not sure if they are still following 2020 COVID policies. We legit had to mail in the documents this year for my wife to change her name, and then wait a few weeks for them to mail them back. Hopefully this is no longer the case.

It would entirely come down to opportunity cost. Would you actually be able to secure a high paying job which isn’t completely negated by the HCOL. Find the job first then run the numbers. Me personally after paying on my private loans for the last 3 years, I’d rather not have that payment, that’s just me though.

Reply to This is why Pennsylvania the best state, we got Wawa and low child abuse numbers by Hardwarethewolf
In PA child welfare reports are separated into CPS (Child Protective Services) and GPS (General Protective Services). From data I have had to pull for right to know requests for our county CYS, this is most likely only showing CPS referrals/reports and not both CPS/GPS hence the lower number per 100k persons.
