Unfortunately the cops don’t respond to traffic accidents unless they’re really bad

Yep, hence my second comment “at best it’s making our insurance more expensive”
No excuse for this behavior

Doesn’t do any good if the cops aren’t pulling people over for it

Isn’t the extensive remediation they’re doing there supposed to address that? Sounds like they’re literally sucking toxins out of the soil

Doesn’t mean they couldn’t put a couple small waterfront parks. From the article they suggest this will “boost public access to the Schuylkill”

Completely 100% agree. Super likely it’s being used in the commission of some type of crime, and at best it’s making our insurance rates go higher. No reasonable excuse for using fake tags.

Sorry this happened - quick tip to everyone: get a photo of the VIN, usually visible on the dash of the car right by the inspection stickers. Way more foolproof than license plates

Good, they should be embarrassed. This shit is fucking embarrassing.
> Some police officers blamed relatively light penalties for emboldening the sale and use of bogus tags. Possession of a fraudulent license plate in Pennsylvania is a summary offense — essentially a fine — while making, selling or knowingly possessing forged plates is a misdemeanor.
I guess we should probably change those laws. Seems like the kind of thing that would probably get enough bipartisan support to pass

Interesting, they mention bike lanes and public access to the lower Schuylkill banks. I wonder what this will look like and if it will connect to the SRT/Bartrams paths. It would be really cool to have a little park at the point, right where the Schuylkill meets the Delaware

Yep that’s a really unusual visitor for Philly, we hardly see any military jets. No indication from ATC chatter why he was landing?

Interesting wonder what the deal was. Running south down Broad almost sets him up for approach at PHL

Usually not at 2000 AGL, though. I’ve seen KC10s fly over Philly frequently, but they’re usually triple that altitude or more. I always assumed they were flying out of McGuire or Dover, but judging that I usually see them running East/West I assumed McGuire since that flight path makes more sense. The never show up on FlightTracker but show up on abs exchange. It’s an unusual flight pattern for one of these, but could be it had to make a landing at PHL since people reported it going south down Broad.

I don’t disagree that there are very big issues to overcome. Still feels like the city has real momentum and that a change in leadership will be an improvement over the current situation.

Yea the world of expensive clothes is a little foreign too me so admittedly my perception might be off. Kind of glad this is the case, but I also have other expensive hobbies that drain my money anyway

Admittedly I’ve never shopped at Express, but my perception was that they were not in the same category as Ross, TJ Maxx, or Marshalls, which is what I think of as a discount store.
I see your point, but again, it’s definitely in a different league than Spencers, Kricket, or TJ Maxx. It still caters to a more “upscale” clientele

Yea I read some about the stuff they were encountering back when they started working on this. Evidence that they had literally been dumping thousand and thousands of gallons of gasoline into the soil back in the 19th century when gasoline was just considered a waste byproduct
