Ah yes I’ve heard of it and honestly there may be some bleed over that caused me to first hear of this theory. I often find paranormal researchers to be sort of insufferable, but I should give it another try; I know people talk about the podcast as being solid.

Not sure what that is!

The theory I like for Bigfoot, UFOs, ghosts, and Cryptids is that they are from other dimensions normally invisible to ours, but there are people or places where some kind of cross-dimensional transference occurs and they pop into our dimension briefly. So essentially they are all the same phenomenon. It’s a little too convenient of an explanation, but I like how it “feels” as a commentary on it.

That Paper Mill was the oldest operating in the country when it closed down just a few years ago. It was pretty cool when I went last year. Seems like they’ve torn down a bunch of it recently

I don’t ride one and yes, they belong in the bike lane or with traffic. I like seeing them because they hopefully will help encourage expansion of bike lanes as well as getting people out of cars and onto alternative e transportation methods

I’d vote for it. It’s actually one of the reasons I stopped hating on New Yorkers moving here. They are used to things/municipal services in NYC that I’d like to see here, so hopefully their vote can help upset the status quo

I’ve become really pro-electric scooter because I see anything that’s getting people out of cars and onto other modes of transit as being a positive thing

A crazy number of people hate the bike lanes - “but they took a lane of traffic/parking away for the stupid bike lane no one uses!”

I’d say that’s a great indicator that she’d be supportive of alternative transportation options

They’ve often had sports on when I’ve been in there, and always turned to it if I asked nicely. I think they will 100% have the Super Bowl on, probably with sound. Funny this was actually one of the first places I thought of going to as a “fun-but-not-squished” bar choice for the SB.

Echoing others, Triangle is good but will be PACKED so be ready for that. I prefer a vibrant-but-not-squished atmosphere so last SB I was at Dive Bar and it was perfect. I’m thinking about Twelve Steps Down or Watkins Drinkery for this year as good-but-not-crazy bars

Yep electric heat is crazy expensive. Uses like 3x the electricity than if you were cooling your entire house with AC. I would turn the heat down a bit and use a space heater selectively to help save on electric

I’ll check it out. I don’t mind crude, but also don’t really like Cumtown or find it very funny, so I guess there’s a line for me. It’s also an area that interests me so I should probs give it a listen. Thanks for the recommendation!
