Reply to D oes anyone know of a weather forecasting website that will give me a "travel forecast" for a car trip? I absolutely have to drive a couple of hours northeast at some point today (mostly I79 and 80) and there's all sorts of weather conditions predicted. Thanks! by happyjazzycook
You'll be fine today, light to moderate rain. Nasty stuff doesn't arrive until early tomorrow.

They won't move here, they'll just be absent landlords here or the houses will be bought up by big money

you could probably find street parking down along 1st or 2nd ave near the jail too, would only be a few $ an hour and definitely less expensive than a garage or lot.

Which direction are you coming from? Cheapest would be to park at the Casino (free) and take the T (free) to Steel Plaza

They're great for special occasions. I took my girl there to celebrate a graduation and they made a big deal of it with a congrats dessert and everything.

If you're going to be living there you should go in person to check it out. Streets in Penn Hills vary pretty wildly.

If you look at google maps, there are two main ones running north-south about 50 miles east of Pittsburgh. Chestnut and Laurel ridge. Ligoneir is a good starting point. Check out Linn Run, Laurel Hill, and Ohiopyle State Parks!

For some reason I feel like we don't appreciate the mountains we have enough. Some of the closer state parks are nice and all, but it's worth the drive to the ridges.

Get to the Laurels. Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, Wolf Rocks Trail, the old growth hemlocks at Laurel Hill. A little more than an hour but spectacular mountains.

Assuming you're in an east end hospital, the museums and Phipps are close by and can't miss.

I think you'd do fine here based on what you wrote. Some neighborhoods and suburbs are better than others for activities and politics. Don't get too far outside of city limits for that.

Yup! Some cold air is trapped near the surface over central and eastern PA! We think of weather as 2D rain and snow plotted on a radar map, but temps aloft are often the crucial factor in different winter precip types!
