Because he is a horrendous congressman. I've worked personally with him in DC. I have also worked with his congressional staff. I have not enjoyed my interactions with his team. They are dismissive of constituency visiting DC for appointments and will not give you the time of day. This has been across two trips while lobbying for underserved patient populations from south Providence.
His representation during hearings is passable, but he has for too long been the pet project of Namcy Pelosi and doesnt have much to say for himself.

Any even vaguely conservative comment on this sub is perfunctorily downvoted. Don't fight it.
But yes, republican/democrat...corruption has no bounds in rhody. There's a non-existent republicN party in the state, hence fewer opportunities for flagrant corruption.

WSJ has also intimated it as a possibility for New England, specifically. Unlikely, but a possibility.

The greater providence area has been on the decline for the past ten year period. Federal Hill has seen more stabbings and muggings than I would like to mention, as it used to be very safe.
I say this as a native rhode islander.

Dont say "the jury is still out" on this failed station.
Its as sad as the warwick station with its foolishly large parking deck.

Or just do nuclear. Its safe and effective. (And yes I am serious)
We ultimately needed to drill in North America. Im sorry, but we have the resources. Yes, global warming is absolutely real. No doubt. Renewable sources are becoming increasingly efficient but not adoptable on mass scale, and the markets (oh yes and OPEC+ along with lobbyists) have not dictated their predominance as of yet.

Fuck SLS.
Just strap the Orion to the top of a Falcon Heavy.
For one, ittl work. Two, ittl land itself and be exponentially cheaper than this corporate welfare shit show.
