Trainspotting is more common in the UK. I think here people also call themselves railfans.

Signage is tough. There are a lot of regulations and restrictions regarding signage, so it can be a lot more complicated than you think.

You know any broadband over copper (cable tv wires) is complete garbage right? Upload speeds are less than a tenth of download speeds. Get Verizon FIOS if you can.

The employees need to get to shops in Robinson too. And if IKEA isn’t going to pay their staff enough to own a car, they gotta get there somehow.

Try The Government Center on the north side. It’s near where Stedeford’s used to be, which is where I bought the original Hard Times / Jam Master Jay Run D.M.C. Extended 12” on Profile

Blue Bones Vintage right near VCU has some record bins in the back and there are some absolute gems there. Definitely worth a browse. RVA is a good vinyl town for sure.

Reply to Tail light cover broken. Need a cheap shop to take it to get the job done. Recommendations? by [deleted]
Another vote for do it yourself. In my VW Jetta it took me maybe 10 minutes to swap out my tail light assembly and I only needed a regular (flat) screwdriver. I found the same assembly for my model and year on eBay for like $30.

I like Legend Brewing just south of the river. It’s going to be in the 60s on Friday so sitting outside is a possibility. I also recommend Lucky AF (sushi) and The Circuit Arcade Bar in Scotts Addition.

Stuff! In Scotts Addition. Well curated. Definitely funky/kitschy. Lots of work by local artists/makers. A little pricey but worth it for an independent small business

Door windows are (usually) simple to replace. Any decent mechanic should be able to do it if a replacement part is available. I recommend Dixon’s in the Atlee / VCC area if you’re in the northern suburbs

Opening up the faucets with the main shut off relieves pressure from the lines and gives the water some place to expand to if any water is left that happens to freeze.
