No case will keep your phone from shattering if the impact is hard enough, sadly.

At least the case is holding everything together, so it’s still usable!

I have screen time turned off because I don’t care about it, and in the past it was a battery drain. That might have changed.

As far as the second one, if YOU turned it on (scummy move, making changes on her phone without her knowledge or permission, btw) it takes time to build those locations up. It isn’t instant.

Honestly? It sounds more like you need to move on if you’re doing this kind of stuff without her knowledge. What’s next, silent AirTag tracking?

The battery capacity of the new phone is larger than the old.

Get a cheap 20W Anker ac adapter and use the cord that came with your 14. You’ll notice a big difference. The adapter can be gotten off of Amazon for like $12 or so.

Apple just dropped support for phones older than the 8 this year.

So it could be next year, or the year after, or the year after that. We don’t know for sure.

If you really want to be safe, get an XR or 11.

You seem very set on Apple giving up immediately.

The 5c failed because it was just a 5 with a candy coated shell in a world where the 5s existed.

The 14 and 14 Plus aren’t that. Again, I refer you to my statement that I would have purchased the 14 Plus if I didn’t already have this 13.

Historically, Apple’s larger phones have sold very well. The 8 plus and 7 plus and 6/6s Plus models, for example.

My opinion is that if Apple doesn’t try things, they won’t know how it goes.

My opinion is also that if I didn’t currently have a regular non-Pro 13, I’d likely go for the 14 plus because size and battery.
