> Valencia Luncheria took Guy by surprise, as he'd never had the Venezuelan tortilla called an arepa. The thick tortilla gets fried and then stuffed with both savory and sweet fillings. Think roasted pork shoulder, tender shredded chicken, ceviche and even Nutella and cream cheese.

I use Google Maps. Sometimes the bus is early, so I have to wait for the next one. Occasionally it doesn’t stop, and I assume it was full.

But I get what I pay for—which is nothing until April 1, 2023. (Hopefully longer.)

I knit and crochet, and yarn preferences are really subjective.

I would buy your cousin a gift certificate to her local yarn shop, so she can choose exactly what she wants.

For example, I can only touch vegan yarn, merino, or silk. Everything else burns—even alpaca, which everyone insists is so soft & hypoallergenic. In addition, I have a very limited palette.

But I’m happy to hear “the kids” are getting into r/crochet.

>Connecticut’s zoning laws maintain the status quo economic and racial segregation. The word “segregation” might conjure images of separate lines and “Whites only” signs. Some might even think, “That doesn’t happen anymore.” But the harsh and horrifying reality is that it absolutely does. Segregation today looks like restricting people’s choice of where to live. Municipalities use zoning codes to prevent certain people from living in their neighborhood while welcoming others. Although the signs aren’t posted, the message remains: Whites only.
