Why the fuck do humans do parades. It costs over 10m to do macys thanksgiving in new York and provides less than an hour of entertainment, and that assumes you can even call parades entertainment.

Maybe I’m just missing the point and that’s fine, but I think our city can spend money on things better than dressing up and walking down a road that most of the citizens didn’t want closed because even though All the rich yts get thanksgiving off, some of us still have to go to work.

Because religion aside they’re still better schools on many metrics than anything the government provides. My catholic school approached most of the religion courses as history and exposure. We had mass a few times a year but even as firm atheist now I’d still be inclined to send my kids there or somewhere similar.

My point is that you don’t have to go downtown to get around the county, but you chose to skip over that. To get from cville high to randallstpwn high it’s one bus. To get from cville to towson it IS faster to go downtown and get on the 8 @ gay/Fayetteville or take the light rail from Pratt. You’re being dramatic.

Transit in baltimore does actually work decently AND the map OP posted makes perfect sense for rails, while busses can compliment along routes that aren’t necessarily directly into the city center but between neighborhoods or cities.

And for what it’s worth? I’ve lived, owned and paid taxes on property on mccabe, fawcett, Evesham, and many other “not so perfect” streets in this city while using the transit system just fine, so go fuck yourself.

Anyone living in hoco has a car because you can’t live there without one. This is literally intentional. Not to mention, they don’t ride Marc or Amtrak either. Finally, they can afford the Uber from their front door to the curb at BWI, or the expensive covered parking. If you can’t get to their hood without a car, the chances of people riding transit to do rachet shit falls. They don’t have transit because they don’t want people living there who need it.

So just because I should be able to buy groceries in my neighborhood, I shouldn’t be able to get downtown for fun with friends? Anyone who wants to get from towson to cville can do it on the various busses and trains that can connect you. The point of light rails is to move a lot of people more efficiently between popular areas, busses are mid grade, last mile always generally sucks a bit and that’s a portion of why scooter and bike companies have blown up, is the ‘last mile’ commute.

In general though, in every city, People do want and need to travel downtown more than any other portion or neighborhood. are you serious with this post?

Per bay per hour is how all of their locations have been priced since pre pandemic at least, unless it’s a special event, couldn’t comment on the heating though.

Honestly you’re catching a ton of shade, but there are a few places that made it for sure, that said, the “good” options for anything in town are fairly limited. Even for the city that’s got world renown crab cakes there’s still probably only 20-25 spots on the list that are must go to. I’ve even had bad crab cakes many times in baltimore.

But if you go to Boston? Every single bar and gas station will claim they have the best chowder and they’ll all be pretty damn good. There’s still something lacking here in the nightlife and bar scene for sure. If this is ever to be a real city, you shouldn’t have to take an Uber to get to a good block with bars and shit.

IMO power plant is a weird corporate bar space of baltimore that’s only worth going to if you are seeing a show at rams head.

York road in towson by the circle has 5-6 bars. Light street and the surrounding blocks. Start at the admiral in fells and wander around from there. Not totally sure where the Hopkins and Loyola students party.

I’ve never understood this. Public places don’t owe anyone free power, airports do, because there’s a premium paid to get in there etc, but idk why people get mad about lack of outlets. It’s 2022, if you don’t have a portable charger by now, that’s on you.

It’s 29 bucks for an anker battery that will charge my phone 6-7 times. Get real people and stop acting so entitled.

And the problem usually exists that fixing one isn’t really an option. You might get lucky and fix an end unit, or a unit surrounded by neighbors that have been fixed up, but for the majority of these actually vacant blocks, fixing one doesn’t make a different and you’d need to repair the whole block.

Just blows my mind that we haven’t just made buying used cats illegal. This is clearly a problem for a ton of citizens and only benefits criminals and weird car parts recycling shops. If buying and selling used/stolen cats is THIS lucrative, it needs to be stopped with legislation that locks people up. If we do, in 10 years it’ll sound real stupid to be the guy whose doing 15-25 years for a stolen cat but that’s what it’s gonna take.
