Not quite a neighborhood, but my favorite residential street to walk is Q St NW. From Georgetown University, to Georgetown to Dumbarton Bridge, to Dupont, to Logan Circle is a straight shot with interesting 1800's architecture the whole way. With a little jog you can continue to Truxton Circle and NE (but I rarely go that far).

No, not a positive. You can't both make tax revenue and be a net positive for the average player. In person at least has entertainment value, govt run (e.g scratch offs) is at least is mostly public revenue, but virtual and private is loose-loose.

I don't know if this press release changed, but according to them

>Metrorail crowding predictions will also be available in our data feedto third-party transit and mapping applications, however the predictions are based on historical crowding data, not real-time.

I don't agree with that, they just meet a different set of criteria than a great personal bike. They are heavy and the gears are slow, slower, slowest. But, they are able to accommodate many rider sizes and survive in the elements pretty well.

That doesn't make them free from maintenance (they need more..), best for moderate-long rides (not their target market), or ergonomically preferable to any but the most average of riders (for my 6'3 body, the handlebars are a little low for the style of bike, but the seat height can be adjusted perfectly).
