Traffic patterns are bit different now and there is whole lot more bicycles and electric scooters on the road so watch out when you make turns and change lanes. Also, not they have speed cameras that run 24/7 so try not to drive over 29mph while in Manhattan in order to avoid $50 ticket in the mail.

It is only slightly cheaper, but only if you are traveling alone. Transit takes much longer, for most NJ residents is very inconvenient, it could easily get far more expensive if they have to drive to public transit location and pay for parking on Jersey side as well. Public transit often runs with delays and problems, especially if they are running on holiday schedule.

Several ShopRite stores around Bergen/Passaic area as well as Brothers Produce in Paterson... I'm sure that expense is passed on to shoppers and these stores are not giving away anything.

This trend of stores "giving away" reusable bags just like the single use plastic must end. A bunch of stores in my area are doing it.

Last night about 9 pm on RT 3 west between exits for RT 17 and RT 21 someone with old black SUV stopped in the middle lane. They only had position lights on. I was maybe 7 or 8 car behind them and luckily managed to change lanes in time without smacking in to anyone at 50 mph.
Others in front of me were not that lucky. They had to stop behind this person.

EZ pass does not send statements each month. I think I get them every other month or quarterly. Not sure. Also, you have to pay extra if you want paper statement.
Other than creating online account I don't see a way you could easily have access to this info.

You just go along with narrative that is over 20 years old and has absolutely nothing to do with day to day traffic now where most participants simply turn to GPS to figure the least congested route at the particular time.
Get it?

This is not true at all. When I moved to US I listened to my uncle who swore by this, and quickly learned this is not true.
Same thing goes for cops pulling people over. Local on GSP and Trucks and Cars on TP won't keep you safe from cops.

Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens all have various levels of urban as well. From big high-rises and housing developments to large properties with single homes and everything in between.
Maybe only significant difference would be a number of golf clubs, hiking trails, and parks, but that is not a bad thing.
hopopo t1_izndxhc wrote
Hudson county is not unique in this. Same can be said for the at least 15-20 mile radius of where Bergen, Passaic, and Essex counties meet.
You can leave Eglewood or Ridgewood and drive to Elizabeth or West Caldwell, and well beyond without ever leaving local streets or being able to draw a clear-cut line of where one town should end and other begin.

You don't need a bill of sale for DMV, but it won't hurt if you have it for your records.
Make sure title is properly filled out and if anything looks ineligible or like someone was trying to correct something you will need a notarized letter from the seller acknowledging whatever the issue is.

I would not call people who work minimum wage jobs lazy. That is ignorant thing to say the least.
We need to give people a chance to better them self, and even if they can't they still have a right to live a dignified life.
Did you have to work 2-3 minimum wage jobs at 80-100 hours a week while you were getting your shit together and going back to school? Did you have a roof over your head or did you have to balance the earnings that pay enough to live on our own with rental help that keeps your family from being homeless?
Also, not everyone is capable of finishing trade or higher education for plethora or reasons including mental issues and disabilities.
Are disabled adults not entitled to live a decent life even though the best they can do is sweep the floors, flip the burgers, or bag groceries?

If you work 40 hours week you must be able to live off of that wage. Under no circumstances anyone in NJ is living in a "nice place" or buying "nice things" with $52000 a year before taxes. Please don't exaggerate.
Majority of minimum wage jobs are preformed by adults not teens. Ratio is not even remotely close. If you are adult with family how precisely can you better your self if you have to work 80-100 hours a week working 2-3 jobs? How many hours you have in a day? If you allow people to live of minimum wage and 40 hours a week they might have time to take courses and better them self. Right?
Also most teens do seasonal work or part time so there is no way they will get anywhere near $52000... And even if they do, so what they should be paid fair market value for the job they perform.

If big corporations have to pay workers living wage they can't keep prices of goods and services artificially low at the expense of workforce. That automatically makes small business owners competitive.
Or in other words if they want to beat price and value of $19 pizza pie made by Tony they would have to lower their corporate profits or offer better product and expedience than Tony. Rather than simply driving Tony out of business by offering $5.99 pizza and than jacking up the price when Tony goes belly up.
Same goes for a local pharmacy, grocery store, hardware store, doctors office or any other business you can think off.
