Humans doing jobs could be hazardous and will likely be disallowed. If your coffee shop accidentally poisons someone or spills boiling coffee on someone when a robotic coffee shop has multiple mechanisms to ensure tgat never happens, then why would it be allowed.

Imagine calling your doctor and a voice interrupts your conversation with the receptionist to say, go to the hospital straight away if you want to live. Perhaps it even notifies the hospital to be ready for you and maybe even dispatches an ambulance to pick you up.

Maybe that is what you want but it certainly is not what I want. That is just like a highly filtered google search engine. I want interpretation and context to be a part of the conversation. I want it to be like I am talking to a very smart professor, not a constrained machine.

This is certainly not the vision of a feee thinking AI that I have in mind.

Well certainly not going to happen with Sparrow, they have programmed it to not develop relationships. (they have also programmed in a lot of woke shit which is a huge concern we should all be up in arms about).

API stands for Application Programming Interface. It is basically a series of commands that programmers can use to access/communicate with another program like GPT3. A kind of specialised instruction set for your program like gpt3.
Having an API connection to something like gpt3 is very similar to having gpt3 running on your own computer in a functional sense. It just means that you do not have to have the high performance hardware to run it on. It is the best option for something like gpt3 to be able to get as many ordinary people using it without us all going out and buying extremely expensive hardware.

I came across a guy in the internet a few years back that did exactly this. Was very determined to live as long as possible. It really made me realise how much less determined I am to live a much longer life. I will do a lot of things but there is a limit.
