I'd say if you're coming from the US, you can save a lot of money on air ticket. Hiking is cheap but you will need to buy some domestic flights too. For other expenses, Argentina side is cheaper than Chilean side. I'd say total cost is around $600(international flights)+$300(domestic).

No problem. Feel free to ask me anything. And yes, most of the times photo don't do justice to the real scenery.

Well it's case by case. Like this shot it's very close to the mountains so I used 24mm and the mountains aren't super small. Some people do focal length blending, shot the mountains bigger and composite it with wider foreground shot.

Dear Redditors, how do you like a warm sunrise in Patagonia? I visited Torres del Paine National Park in Chile earlier this year but only got to process this shot a few days ago. To show the summer vibe, I chose yellow flowers as the foreground. I hope you like it!

Dear Redditors, this was taken in Kirkjufell, Iceland. What I like about this shot is that I got aurora with dramatic clouds, which I don't see many people take. Also, it was a close-to-full-moon night. Luckily, I still managed to get the shot and I hope you enjoy it. And also, I apologize for having to reply your comments later because I got a 2-week camping starting in tomorrow.

Hi, it seems like those rocks pop out because they're harder and more immune to weathering.

Hey it's near Hanksville and Cainville indeed. It's not super blue but the gentle blue hour lights did make it bluer than daylight. I tweaked it in LR to saturate it more.

Dear Redditors, I think one good reason to bring the long telephoto lens is for shots like this one. Zoom to 400mm and you're golden. I'm happy to find that rock which stands out in the composition. Editing-wise, I played with saturation and hue to make it even more contrasty. I hope it's not too much because sometimes I don't know when to stop.

Hello Redditors! The shot was taken in one of the highest Rifugio in the Dolomites, the Lagazuoi. And because of no clouds in the sky, I aimed for pastel colors. Normally the best colors appear 5 minutes-10 minutes after sunset. Editing-wise, I tried to bring out more colors while muting the blue tone. I hope you like the result!
