And then you add output impedance to the mix.

It just means their hearing impaired ears need more power for the headphone to reach comfortable listening levels. But that aside you want an amp that can supply enough voltage swing into so you have more headroom for loud parts and thats it.

Or your ears are more sensitive to bass, in linuses video there was a +-10dB difference in bass perception.

It was the cheapest crossover made here(no longer being made) with meh build quality but did its job. I sadly no longer have my creation since my cats took a liking to playing with the drivers.

My endgame hp would be the DT1990(expensive af here) with elite velour pads and the passive filter from diyaudio.
I created some cardboard speakers for the tv and damn they sounded good. It was just a simple dual 2 way(bass+lower mids/upper mids+treble) built from cheap local parts.

From ASR
>I think resolution is easy to address: person focuses on the music and hears more individual notes and says that is higher resolution. In reality this is one's perception changing because they were comparing things and so started to focus on small details. A blind test make them appear in both pieces of gear but audiophiles don't go there.

Every time a headphone have peaky treble between 8-10kHz the reviewers always call them very detailed and alive. The LCD-5 have no peaks around 8-10kHz only at 17kHz and since there is barely anything in music there it doesn't count.
EDIT: typos.

And all of them have some subpar tuning with a peak in the treble to give then that fake derailed sound.

Since there is less to focus on, you focus more on the music details.

Reply to SSL2 headphone amp question by [deleted]
You are fine with the ssl2, its a beast and if it gets loud enough with headroom to spare then you are fine. The difference in amplifiers that people claims are overexaggerated.
Amps can never change the soundstage only add harmonic distortion or inaural phase distortion, these 2 are responsible for the perceived incerase.

The two you posted is not being made by aiyima just rebadged. The K5 uses way better HP amp and dac output stage's. The aiyima a5 pro is not that far off as a dac but as a HP amp its trash.
Fun fact, Sabre said said their dac chips should be used in cheap/affordable products.
