Dude, tip whatever you want and the rest of us will do the same.
And no, my pad Thai eat in is the same price as takeout.

At this particular place, the people plating the food and serving the food and boxing the takeout are…the same people. They package it up for me, and it sits there til I come get it. They don’t have to seat me, or answer any questions, or bring me drinks or bring me food or extra utensils when I drop my fork. No, it’s not worth the same tip.

But for pickup?? During the height of the pandemic there was a local restaurant I'd get takeout from every other week, purely in an effort to help keep them in business. I'd tip them 20%. Now that they’re back to dine-in, I’m not going there as often, and only dropping a buck in the tip jar when I pick up my food. The higher tips during the crisis were never meant to be permanent (IMHO).

I suppose nowadays I'd ask, “Should I point out that I'm on the spectrum, and any personality test I take is going to make me look like a sociopath at best, and an ax murderer at worst?” 😊

Damn, that sucks. I'm on the exact same timeline; 🤞🤞 hope I don’t get it. (But I take the petri dish cesspool known as metro to work three days a week, so I’m not sanguine about my chances. 😬) Feel better soon!

Hate hate hate those Braxton Hicks oops, Myers Briggs things. Such a waste of time and completely useless. They forced the staff to do one of these in a meeting at my office once; when we went around the table to say what personality type we were, I held up the page and said, “I’m the person who wants to strangle all the people on the opposite corner of the chart.” -nervous laughter-

Not the first time this has happened; the LOC film unit moved out to the old Federal Reserve bunker in Culpeper.

Also check the lease—renters insurance may be required.

Second this; I'm in the burbs but came home from work one day to find the local FD scampering across all our roofs, knocking down a chimney fire in the house three doors down. Fortunately no major damage. (Chimney had never been cleaned in the history of the house.)

Badly. Next question?
Anyway, all weather radials on the car; make sure you have a snow brush and ice scraper; make sure your heater (defroster) works and get the strongest washer fluid you can. This “good down to 20 degrees!” crap is crap. Look for 30 below if you can find it.
Your best bet is to just not drive if you can avoid it. Power failures have been getting better and better, though. Heavy snow used to knock out power for days. That hasn’t happen for a while, though, knock on wood. 🤞🤞🤞 Ice storms are the worst for that sort of thing. You don’t need to hoard like a prepper, but make sure you have a few days worth of shelf stable food if they’re calling for a big storm.
