They should maybe take him to the vet; something may be going on with his health. One of the places where I used to ride, one of the instructors had a big goofy black lab who loved everybody—until he was running around the back deck, slipped and ran head first into a retaining wall. Immediate personality change towards non-family: growling, snapping, hackles up, snarling, the whole shebang. I don’t think he ever bit anyone, but he damn sure threatened for several months. I figure he concussed himself or something.

Still walking distance in nice weather. Not sure it would be worth getting into the subway. Depending on their frequency, hopping a bus might be better.

Um, no. Gets a quick escort of fighter jets saying, “—ahem” to the pilot, but someone just wandering thru the ADIZ like a dope will probably not just get immediately shot down.

So long that it actually curves with the curvature of the earth. Very cool.
I know they were looking to shut it down and maybe demolish it a few years back, but since it was still there the last time I drove by, I guess nothing came of that.

Medical Ctr to where the Purple Line station in Bethesda will be is, like, half a mile. Easier just to walk it. Even so, I think the PL station will be at most a couple hundred yards from the subway station.
The Purple line in SS will run right through the big bus terminal which is basically attached to the SS subway station. (It will run over the end of the SS metro platform.) So yes, you'll have to get off the Red line and walk about 50 yards or less to the PL station.
IF the thing ever gets built, I can't imagine it will be faster to ride the Red line all the way around.

If you skim down, you’ll see a missing kid every day or two. However, the majority of them have been located.

So do you know if any of those places are actually getting any business? I walk through there (City Ctr) about once a week on my after lunch walks, and I rarely see anyone actually in the stores.

I think cheap clay pipes were almost disposable.
Also, as i recall, people would break off the tip of the stem every few smokes, as it got groddier and groddier. Eventually they'd break off so much the pipe became unusable. Then down into the privy it would go.

This is from the regional grid operator. Fingers crossed they don’t need to do it.

As I recall, there's a bathroom on one of the upper levels at Nat'l Cathedral, too. (Although some of the bathrooms in the basement are kinda cool, too. (Particularly in winter; no heat. 🥶))

Having been caught on the wrong side of Penna Ave and having had to wait fifteen minutes to get back to the office, I can tell you you’re just not missing much. Lots of motorcycle cops, lots of black SUV's with lots of grim looking secret service agents with guns hanging out the windows, the beast and usually a few more limos (not necessarily all in that order), and an ambulance tagging along behind.
