Yeah, it's weird. This was the most recent article I could find (from April 2022), and it sounded like they were poised to get things going, with most construction complete, and just the final design phase to be completed, then boom, silence for almost a year.

Every time I've asked any employee about when the Church Hill facility will open, they're just like 'in a few months'. 🤷‍♂️

Edit:. I dug around on the permit portal to see if that would shed any light on what's going on, but other than their building permit expiring in March 2023, there's not much relevant public info.

I don't think it's funding. Waukeshaw Development, the umbrella org that is owned by the same owners (Dave McCormack & co) as Beales, Trapezium, Demolition Coffee, and a bunch of other successful entities, have deep pockets. They are doing several development projects throughout Virginia, so maybe they're spread thin on a project management or manpower level.

I just emailed them at the address on that page. We'll see if they bother to get back to me with an informative answer.

>What is his liability for keeping an unsecured gun around a mentally disturbed child who had already been posting threats to his school??

It's a class 1 misdemeanor, which is basically a slap on the wrist. In any case, the cops charged the guardian, it went to court, and he was acquitted due to “insufficient evidence to convict.”

I heard the show in Richmond was going to be a live feed of the one in Massachusetts, but IDK if that's true.

Edit:. Not true. He showed up in person eventually. Some of the commenters on that Insta link waited 5 hours in the cold rain!

If they sold tickets to a show where the main advertised performer wasn't going to be present, I'd say there's room for a class-action case against the club assuming people want to go through the effort.

Meanwhile, the heroin trafficker that was recently convicted got 4½ years. 🤔

This also doesn't bode well for Michael Hild, whose fraud is valued at hundreds of times more than this. He's to be sentenced next week.

I'm not sure if you're suggesting they walk from Rocketts to Anncarrows, but that's a very long walk. Ancarrows is across the river from Rocketts, and is a 3.4 mile walk to get there, all the way across the 14th St bridge, which means an almost 7 mile roundtrip back to the car. Quite a distance for someone with mobility issues, but Anncarrows does have a parking lot.

Perhaps you're referring to Shiplock Park on Dock St, which has a small network of dirt paths? In which case, OP could park in the parking lot at Shiplock, if it's not full.
