The amusement/experiential stuff is great -- it should just be focused on that. They really screwed it making it some wannabe luxury mall. Half the stores are closed or have weird hours because no one goes there to shop.

it's been here for like 30 years and it's on the more intimidating side of dive bars hanging around. someone got stabbed there in last few years and pretty sure shooting as well.

have you seen some of the displays people do these days? Music, animatronics, synchronized light shows. Plenty of stories over the years of over the top displays drawing onlookers that disrupt a neighborhood and turns into big fight between neighbors. not that unreasonable a possibility to me.

Maybe theres a history here. a huge display every year maybe really obnoxious and disruptive and people have tried to address it but this person doesn't listen. maybe.
