Coldest I’ve seen anywhere. But it’s gonna be 40F+ on Monday so it just kinda feels like a novelty event or something.
The 1-2 week stretches we sometimes get in the winter where it’s never above freezing, easily worse.

$94 for 37 therms, 1200sq foot with Navien gas heat/water.
Townhouse configuration with good insulation, which helps a lot.

Also a ton of paid vacation.
From what I heard they negotiated and got something running with the union, but subsequent asks were too much so it had to shutter.

Leave yourself 20 minutes to cool down with an iced coffee before heading into the office, practice slow biking on the way in, and get a pannier or other bag attached to the frame instead of your back. you can usually get away with just a change of shirt.
or yeah an electric bike / scooter.

We've got two ductless head units on a 24k condenser for a 1200sqft townhouse. Got them installed primarily for the AC, but we ended up also using them for heat as well. I run them in conjunction with gas powered baseboard heat.
I've used them exclusively for an entire month in the winter while getting our furnace replaced, they were more than up to it. They're super efficient during the late fall / early spring for heat, and during this halfassed fake winter too.
I like using them for heat because it provides a nice warm breeze, and it brings the house up to temp in the morning way faster than baseboard can. Warm air moving around makes the whole place seem cozier. They help circulate the warm air from our high ceilings down too.
The AC is immaculate, keeps this place ice cold all summer.
Install process was super fast and non-invasive, day and half at most.

It's 30 minutes / 1.5 miles each way from Central.
I like walking but fuck that for groceries.

Yeah it sucks. That Shaws was awful but it was nice to have in the neighborhood.
Whole Foods the only walkable option for a real grocery store. Target/H-Mart/Daily Table are helpful but not a full grocery.

Same, ran mine all winter last year and they work fine below zero. Not even the cold weather models. Gets less efficient, but still better than baseboards.
A good HVAC installer will match the capacity to your house size so you’re covered at any temp.
