You’re right it was a medical decision on the benefit of additional time from a medical outcome standpoint. The percentage of people capable of still spreading the virus at day 6 is not statistically significantly more than at day 11, given the added burden on the patient.

Yeah. Our viral season this year is going to be tough specifically because we have largely avoided any immune challenge (for good reason, don’t get me wrong!) during two plus years of COVID and masking.

Go back and read my comment. It is extended day care.
Also, we wait until symptoms largely resolved, at that point you’re not shedding tons of virus and for some infections you’re not contagious within 2-3 days. Even COVID is only a 5 day quarantine plus 1-2 negative tests.

How do you juggle your kids and two parents with full-time jobs? I'd love to know.

At some point, kids are no longer actively contagious. We keep our kids home for a few days, and if no fever and symptoms improving, our day care POLICY is it's ok to send them back.
If we kept a kid home until he was 100% back to normal he would be out for 10 days every other week.

Bubbler is used routinely in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, plus some bleed into other New England states like New Hampshire and Maine, etc., and weirdly, Wisconsin.

Gray tower is Textron (Cessna, Bell Helicopters, etc.) world HQ. Plus some law firms and assorted tenants.
One Financial (the large white stone tower) has several floors of BoA, but that is recent. It was built as the Hospital Trust Tower (a bank) and they occupied the 28th Floor Penthouse and several others. Then a large law firm, Edwards and Angell took over much of that space, but they have since changed names and stopped being locally headquartered and downsized a bit in the building. The Santander is just a branch in the lobby. The rest of the tower is several law firms, Morgan Stanley financial services, and some other assorted tenants.

Looks like you fell for the interior design. The article says the interiors were decked out with Home Goods items. It was old. It was not historically significant.

He owned the building! And there was nothing deeming the structure worthy of preservation. We still have private property rights in America, as far as I'm aware. My friend lives in a 1785 farmhouse out in Lincoln, they could knock it down tomorrow if they got a town demo permit.

Read the article. It was not “historic” it was just old. It was nominally part of a historic register district but that’s just an honorific title not any kinda of mandate to protect it or statement that the building itself is of historic interest.

Their building recently went condo. In addition to being high quality food, I bet them having to buy their unit and take on debt is somewhat a factor. (Assuming they bought and aren’t like renting from a third-party owner. Used to be the Microlofts and store fronts were like apartments.)

These days, for restaurants and bars I don’t even look at websites, I usually google for hours and if I want info pics and menus it’s instagram.
It makes sense. People don’t all know how to make a website and keep it current.
My grandma can instagram.
Edit: ROGUE ISLAND is great too!
