Excess profits year after year are not right.
Having excess profits for a couple years after some years of losses is fine. Space launches are rather a unique and relatively small market and a few bad launches to make for a bad year.

Anything is possible to change with enough money and labor. What industries do you take that labor from that doesn't hurt us in other ways?

It is pretty rare to lose gas. Being buried as it is. I recall speaking with a technician in my area about this. Wondered what happened if we lost a major compressor. He stated there was enough capacity between distribution and feeder lines to last three colder days and that there was multiple compressors that needed to fail for this to happen. Worst is a line break normal due to digging but that typically effects few people.
I can't think of a single instance where we last gas in my 50 years. Do recall days of no power. Mind you that is pretty rare now.

Not really. Say it would cost a trillion dollars to bury them all. Put that money towards new hospitals and you would save factors more people.

Solar does not help in a power outage. Have solar installed myself. Batteries are not viable in any way but for a few hours.

That is true. Mind you we have the infrastructure to keep those tanks full. Not sure the current electrical grid can handle that kind of energy delivery. Considering the number of stations needed for a city or town.

The technology is entirely ready to encrypt and nearly unbreakable. But apps and texting is just so much easier and you know the receiving party will get it.
This is not about developing something but about deploying something that already exists. Getting the end users to use it diligently will be difficult. This has been an ongoing problem since the first message was sent digitally.

This typically really doesn't result in improved electrical networks or help modernize anything. At least not cheaply. That is unless the world steps up and pays for much of it.
This is actually a very expensive way to upgrade your networks. It would be akin to you blowing up your house to make your basement easier to renovate.

These kinds of attacks are subject to impose terror and being fully intentional and sustained are equivalent to attacking civilians directly. This is an act of genocide.

To a certain degree. The engine resistance internally will be far greater at some point then the work at the wheels. The overall efficiency at slow speeds will be far worse.
Ie. A car traveling at 1kph while idling will only make 200km before the tank is empty. (20 hours). There always is a sweet spot. In farm equipment, tractor speeds are far lower and thus air resistance is negligible when compared to the work they do.

The fan at the front is really just a form of a turbojet with normal propellers. It is just propellers with a shroud around it.
Fun fact. The shroud makes these engines slightly less efficient but people dislike open propellers.
