I remember when WF was announced i was working in Soho and had a chat with a bunch of my coworkers (most of whom lived in jersey city at the time) and we theorized it was a year or two away from opening.

That was in 2019. Almost all of those people are long gone once WFH started in March 2020.

This feels like it’s finally going to happen before the end of the decade.

I was more of a nights and weekends gal, this one was far less crowded than the one on south street so we’d always go here. I had friends that lived in the building to the left (it was Oakwood at the time) so I spent way too many late nights here before stumbling home to my apartment up near the art museum.

I have to snark for a moment, every time I see this woman I am shocked at how old she looks for her age. I seriously wonder if she has substance abuse issues. I know that was heavily theorized when this first happened because no sober person would flee the scene of a crime that they weren’t at fault for and then report it six hours later.

Sadly she won’t be recalled and it’s amazing the lengths she goes to absolve herself of any personal responsibility. She is a terrible person who sped off and left someone on the side of the road and said nothing and showed zero remorse. The fact that she doubled down with the statement below just shows how arrogant she is.

DeGise’s public relations people released a 377-word statement on her behalf. In it, she falsely asserts that the bicyclist she struck with her SUV last July was “not hurt” and she reiterates that she has no intention of resigning.

I feel this occasionally in my building, it took me a bit to realize it’s coming from the W/D in adjacent apartments going into the final spin cycle. If it’s a vibration that only lasts a few minutes at a time that’s what it might be.

We are definitely neighbors 👋🏻

I’ve been in Modera since it opened in 2016. Since then I’ve seen the Lively, 10 Provost, The Canopy by Hilton, Haus 25, and a bunch of others rise all around me. I’ve lost track of all the names of the new places here. I think this is my last year in JC so I’m sure in a few years time I won’t recognize this place at all.

It’s a damn shame what was done to the other Provost building, that poor thing was murdered. I’m very curious how the developer got away with tearing down so much of that building unless it wasn’t landmarked.
