This is true with the caveat that if you are an especially high income earner you pay more in NJ than you do in NYS, but if you’re a low to middle income earner it’s cheaper in NJ.

Republicans are that’s why this is a thing. This way when all the votes from cities and people who voted by mail come in later they can scream “FRAUDDDD” and try to delegitimize results that don’t go their way.

Yeah the architecture sucks and it’s not nearly as pedestrian/bike friendly as it should be given just how dense it is. The food is fine if you like the same couple of options repeated endlessly and don’t mind paying 25 dollars for a dish that’s half frozen French fries lol

Ironbound has exploded in cost in the last 5 years or so. Not worth it at all at this point given how polluted it is

Yeah I’ve read that too I believe it’s still the plan. That would be a great addition to downtown that would actually cater to native newarkers so I hope it happens.

Cause they get paid much less than they would in the private sector so those losses are exchanged for better benefits and a pension. If you want a pension you can get a public sector job.

Are there any visible 3 per centers, qanon, etc with platforms equivalent to Kanye that are saying antisemitic things right now?

Right and Kanye and Kyrie Irving are parroting a lot of their talking points so please don’t minimize the power they have with their platforms.

Eh just like Donald trump stoked the flames of white supremacist violence with his rhetoric, Kanye and Kyrie Irving being visibly antisemitic definitely can contribute to flare ups of violence against Jewish people. Also let’s not forget that the antisemitic shooting that happened here a few years ago wasn’t done by the demographic you’re alluding to.

A lot of the ones downtown don’t even stay open until 8 pm. Same deal in the ironbound. Everyone of course needs a corner store during prime working hours of 9-5 right?
