The city is in a bind with jobs like this, because if this job paid closer to what people on this subreddit likely consider to be a fair or livable wage, this would instead be about Baltimore City Corruptionâ„¢ and how they shouldn't pay someone who oversees cars getting towed shit.

The pay is low for me personally... But I have over 20 years of experience in my field and a masters degree. This job appears to be a desk job requiring limited experience and a high school diploma or GED. And if you look at what a lot superintendent makes and what they must do (overseeing all the supervisors and lots, pay topping out at 112k), I see why it is so low.

The benefits aren't that bad either.

The title would look good on a resume.

This is probably a good job or stepping stone for someone. Will that someone live in Locust Point or Roland Park? Nope, unless they are like married to money.

We are approaching a holiday weekend, so definitely get in before end of day tomorrow or you may be SOL until next Wednesday even. That pain is horrible!

As has been mentioned, pulling it is the least expensive option. Do you have dental insurance?

You can click on individual crimes for more info. There was one other tool I was using that I can't remember right now and it let me get to an even more detailed level, but this was a useful one if you want basic information about where and when.

Recommend using a laptop or desktop computer, not a smartphone or tablet.

Just want to add I used this (among other resources) when I was looking for a house. Literally every neighborhood has crime of some sort. Yes, every single one, including Roland Park, Federal Hill, and Locust Point. It's humanity, it's not just Baltimore. The useful thing about this tool is it allows you to get an idea of the types of crimes that are happening and you can look pretty far back to see if certain crimes are outliers or typical.

Well, the way it usually goes is nonsketchy POCs, LGBTQ folks, and poor folks turn it into something livable, and then the other people that are used to being generally accommodated in society and aren't at all used to getting their asses beat and broken move in and act like they have always been there.

Lmao so this may or may not have been what I wanted to say, but... Yes, Medicare Advantage plans imo often do a lot of suspect stuff. To the point that I would not recommend either of my parents get a Medicare Advantage plan.Hell, if I were Medicare age, I wouldn't even want a Medicare Advantage plan.

They get you with all the "perks," meanwhile they will deny legitimate claims to compel you to stop asking for stuff you need. 🥴 Meanwhile the plans make profits like nobodies business... It's very fucked up.

Medicare Advantage plans will deny everything... If you have the stamina, resubmit. They have a nasty habit of denying claims to imo wear you down. Traditional Medicare plans don't do this.

I'm not advising dropping your MA plan if you like it! But if willing, try again for the scooter.

My office is in Rockville. When I lived in Mount Vernon and Downtown, it was an hour or less door to door in the evenings barring any dramas and a bit under an hour in the mornings. I would work from like 7 to 3 to beat the traffic. It wasn't horrible, actually.

Now I live in Butchers Hill. This has added 20 minutes to my commute, and it sucks. Definitely live closer to 395 in Baltimore if you can.

I hate the commute, I'm happy when it is decent, but I really cannot stand driving it. If the Purple Line ever gets done and I still work where I work now, I'll just take MARC and the purple.

You're in Glen, so when I lived in Pikesville and Mount Washington/Cheswolde area, I went to Lifebridge for a while. It was a really, really nice gym with an indoor track and sooooo much equipment. I really loved that gym, but it was expensive as hell. This was back in like 2014 and 2015, but they used to give you a free session with a trainer to get a plan down. I had just switched from the old Lynn Brick that was in that St. Thomas plaza on Reisterstown Road where I had been paying for a trainer at a ridiculous weekly rate... I combined what I had been doing at Lynn Brick with what they gave me at Lifebridge and I was pretty much good to go. It's an all ages gym, plenty of older people. No one cared about what folks were wearing? At worst there would be guys in there trying to flirt.

Another one I used to go to that is a bit farther out was Bare Hills which I think is now called Coppermine. That skewed much older. Also a really nice gym where no one cared what you wore. Lots of equipment, families. The tennis courts were pretty busy.

Yeah I want to say my realtor also was like "shut that off immediately."

On its face, I am fine with it: He turned the water off after, and the little ice that is there will be gone no later than 10 today. But the idea of someone leaving it running and it creating an ice rink right on the sidewalk or street was enough to make me go turn it off and add pet safe ice melt to my list of things to get for the winter. This is my first house ever...I am sure stranger things will happen.

Yes, this is why I admittedly ignored the voice of the home inspector this summer. And coming out of this weekend, I actually lucked out on the timing.

No, just a cup. My mind went to the residual water on the ground and passersby slipping on ice. Fortunately it will warm up quickly today.

A black Santa your first Christmas in Baltimore shows up on your stoop Christmas Eve or Day, which falls on a Saturday and Sunday, and it also happens to be possibly the coldest Christmas on record, and steals packages left by a Christmas delivery person I presume... and not only do you get the packages back, the thief is caught? Like. That's a lot lining up perfectly, I guess.
