I was at ~1200 a year for Geico. My rate increased after someone drove into me (everyone agrees I was not at fault) and after I got my new car... Previous car would have been paid off this year. 😕 Geico called it inflation. But I also added coverage because having been in 3 accidents since 2018 that weren't my fault, I felt I had no choice. I have been in 3 major collisions in my adult life, and those are it.

Two times (1 in Louisiana and 1 in MD) someone bumped me at low speed at a red light/stop sign, and no claims were necessary. I drive very cautiously and very low mileage.

Currently ~1700 a year. So yes that's 250 per 6 months. Will definitely be shopping around soon.

I agree. But I hope they do some sort of traffic calming at Central and Fayatte and Central and Orleans because that is very stroady, and all I ever see is people booking it towards Hopkins/the Calvert Street overpass on Orleans or to President/to Hopkins on Fayette.

You don't have to do anything for the water bill. They will automatically start being billed to you... Because the bills are fundamentally tied to addresses, not people.

The seller should have given cash to the title company to set aside for any outstanding water bills. The first month in my house that bill came to me for some crazy amount, and I called my realtor who was kind enough to loop in the title company, and the title company took care of the bill once I sent it to them.

I am also a first time home owner, and had no idea either. My realtor has been wonderful.

Once you know the due date, note it and pay the balance by that date or you get late fees.

I did not know.

Welp, just another thing to feel anxious about when traffic slows in the tunnel for any reason. 🥴

I don't blame you for moving to have better access to healthcare. Maryland would be on my short list if I had chronic health problems like the ones you mentioned. Hell, Maryland would be on my short list if in good health... It's the Hunger Games for healthcare access in so many states, smh.

Welcome! I met people through work and meetup.com and running groups when I first moved here.

Lol nobody is trying to pay for transit and ride alongside the undesirables. It needs to be sans poor people, everywhere, on time, and free, dammit./s
