I can't imagine being their neighbor and just trying to get home at night. Waiting an hour after work just to pull into my house would piss me all the way off.

That said, park at the school up the street and walk down. You'll get a better view and won't have to wait through the ridiculous car line.

Chicken Annie's gang!

The school my mom teaches at always did a fried chicken dinner from them that was always the highlight of my year. Literal boxes and boxes (large, cardboard boxes, not carryout containers) full of fried chicken. All the drumsticks you could eat. I was in heaven every year. And then for a week after I'd "sneak" into the elementary teacher's lounge after school and have even more from the fridge.

They aren't owned by the same people, and haven't ever been. FD's was started by the same family, but the owner of the franchise in Springfield is Gene Marsh. Additionally, Cheddar's sold to Darden Restaurants in 2017.

Sources all over this page, and now I know way more than I ever wanted to about a couple of restaurateur families in Springfield.

...I don't care what your friend says. Public records show that he is the majority owner. Period. Your other statement of "your boss also owns FD's" is also completely inaccurate, since Cheddar's sold in 2017.

Edit: Jared Enterprises owns the land, unless they sold it.

2nd edit: the property hasn't been sold since 2013, the sbj article i linked above shows the property owner as Jared Enterprises.

Combination of the owner being a massive prick and them just never being that good to begin with, imo. When they opened Springfield was starved for a decent burger, so they seemed better than they really were. Now other places do it much better. Nothing has really changed, which is part of the problem.

I had an absurdly good ribeye there awhile back when I had craving for steak, and luckily the other places I was going to go were full. I paid less than $50, maybe even closer to $30, including a whiskey (a good one and a double pour, I was celebrating) and left very satisfied.

I was here yesterday. Had a really fun time, I just hope they are more organized today, my kid was disappointed the dude setting up the video gaming area didn't show up until 6 hours late, but the Amtgard arena more than made up for it for him, I think.

Just be prepared for lots of blank stares when you ask the booths to fill out your scavenger hunt papers. Bring a pen so they have something to sign it with for you.

Yea I've known people who had full-face surveillance camera footage of the person in the act, and cops still told them they can't do anything about it. They're all useless at anything but perpetuating cycles of poverty to insulate the ruling class from real people's struggles.
