The difference is a chihuahua bites, lets go, and runs away if you threaten it.

Pitts don't let go. They maul. And they're far more likely to attack than other breeds, due to prey drive, low intelligence, and hundreds of years of selective breeding. Stop trying to "what about" your way around this. Pitts are a dangerous breed and should be treated as such.

You're showing you have no interest in being objective about how the breed has been selected for hundreds of years, or even how selective breeding works. Yes, there are other breeds used for fighting. Pit bulls are and have always been the premier fighting breed for a reason.

Yes, if they wound up in pounds, they'd be euthanized. Better that than more playground attacks and kids missing faces.

The breed has, from the 1800s, has been bread for fighting, because their temperament, as a whole, is conducive to shutting down everything but the attack instinct.

This is a breed that was bred for bear fighting, then continued having violent tendencies selected for as people transitioned into dog fighting. If you don't understand that, maybe look more into how selective breeding works.

Also, nowhere did I say "destroy all pit bulls," so you can stop putting words in my mouth. The intent was "ban people from obtaining new pit bulls." Extra insurance and punitive measures for the owner don't do a single thing to prevent kids from getting their faces chewed off by an aggressive breed.

Banning pit bulls. Full stop.

I don't give a single shit how cuddly your "nanny" dog is. The breed has ALWAYS been bred for violence. It's innate.

Edit: keep 'em coming, PiBbLe owners who can't cope with the fact your dog breed of choice is an inherently unstable time bomb waiting to happen.

Lmao I don't even know who you are. Who the fuck is "we?"

You know nothing of my life, but you are projecting awfully hard.

Edit: went through your post history trying to figure out who you are, all I can see is calling people who talk about privelege and systemic injustice "race-baiters," an inordinate amount of posts defending the use of Swastikas, being shitty towards those advocating for student loan forgiveness, and pretending the left went extreme.

Yea, I'm far better off without you and whoever that "we" is in my life.

I was wondering when you'd poke your miserable nose in here to take shots at me. You seem to have a weird obsession with me.

Removing fascist propaganda and vandalism from a public space is nothing short of a civic duty for anybody who actually believes in a just, democratic society. Posting here shows them there are at least 140 people (at the moment) who don't want them here.

Not to mention I just plain don't care what your opinion of me is.

When you're spouting the same lines as they do, e.g. "Never apologize" and "DoN't GuiLT tRiP mY KiDs," you might as well be.

I do recognize my privilege, which is why I realize how important teaching children about privilege is. Pretty rich of you to tell me to check my privilege mere messages after "don't ever feel shame about your ancestors."

The hardest part were the two water crossings I didn't know about until we were halfway around the trail (we'd never done the yellow trail) but a couple soaked shoes and a lost sock later, we made it.

The stickers were a pleasure to remove.

I mean, if you're actually interested in the opinions of the sub, you could be objective when writing the questions.

But if you're just fishing for a reason to ban posts about bad drivers (which, whatever, there are a thousand things that get circle jerked daily here), you're on the right track.
