SEPTA will only take you into Philly. From Trenton, yuo can take NJT into NYC.

There is a train from Philly to Atlantic City (run by NJT), and from north Jersey to many beach towns. However, there is no transit between Trenton and the beach. Unfortunately, most of transit in NJ is about getting you to NYC or Philly, but not so much between NJ cities.

Trenton isnt really a big city, not these days. Theres almost no activity past 6pm. There are a couple of cute neighborhoods, but youll be bored quickly especially as someone just 22/25.

Asbury Park is "only" and hour away, but your summer commute time with be significantly worse than winter.

All the replies youre about to get are going to recommend central NJ towns, but I would look at PA by a SEPTA station so you can pop into Philly whenever.

Any of the 5 hotels near Newark Penn Station are fine. There are buses to East Orange from there (the train to East Orange stops at Broad Street Station and no hotels next to that, but its a 20 minute walk if you prefer)

We could buy this argument for the leading cast, and one could even try for a reach and say that Friends is a criticism of this fact.

The issue is that the cast is also almost entirely white as they interact with the world around them which shows us this is an issue with the studio/writers.

They live in Manhattan, not Staten Island.
