I always feel bad when we run these. These people are states away from home, and most of the time what happened isn’t even their fault. Someone cut them off or something childish. Horrible day for those people

A child, lol. (Seriously)

We were out of town with my in-laws, wife woke me up at midnight saying her water broke. Spent Christmas Eve/Christmas Day in the hospital, and all of our actual gifts are hours away.

I’m not in retail, but I’ve seen the results for planning. Short Pump is doing the opposite of dying, and with the growth planned west of Staples Mill through 2027- it’s looking like a long tenure.

All of the thin lines are supposed to be used for deaths within the service. That’s how it’s used exclusively amongst the fire service. But when police faced scrutiny, the pro police community turned it into a symbol and ruined it. And yes, I’ve seen that portrayal of the thin blue line too.

Serious question:

I’m a firefighter, have a thin red line flag on my truck that I acquired after the second death of a close friend. If seen, do people remotely think I’m this kind of person?

I know what thin blue line flags stand for, especially after all the protests, but I wonder if it’s an assumption about everyone in public safety

Edit: add’l context

No comment to the majority of your statement. But the ‘experience’ you receive at RAA is not a right of passage. It does not offset the poor conditions and pay that the organization has.

It’s not your employer that is reflected in your experience, it’s you.

Sincerely,

A 20 year firefighter who’s conducted interviews for public safety jobs.

Some of these F150s are from the Fire Marshall’s Office too. There’s Navy, Gold, White, and Black in their fleet. They run red & blue. HPD actually has very few unmarked rides, but they do exist!

Wow, I remember when they closed those services at Forest, the popular belief was because of them at the CJW facility. Unfortunately, Bon Secours does those kind of things just as sketchy.

If someone with stroke symptoms is brought to Memorial Regional, the neurologist is via camera through the ED. Meanwhile, either their critical care or AMR is notified.

If the neurologist decides to not have it shipped out, AMR is still compensated by the network. But I’ve heard of patients getting those bills recently. Healthcare sucks

It was partially because of the networks dedication to Chippenham. Which HDH far exceeds in performance.

I will say, Pediatrics is about all St Mary’s is good for anymore. Especially in the emergency setting. But having more beds, especially with a growing area and now defined need has no negatives.
