That seems high. Since you have already double checked usage, that's a place to start. If the same stuff in VA pulled half the kwH, something is pulling current off your meter.

I'd look at the age of your systems to see if that's a contributing factor, but the other thing would be to invest in a home energy monitor that can tell you a bunch of information like which circuits are pulling what amounts and exactly when it's happening - however, if you arent comfortable around electric you might need to pay an electrician to set it up.

After that you can look at things like insulation, and leaks.

I can't speak for now, but like 20 years ago when I worked in Sheetz management it was an unspoken idea that they avoided cities and high population areas. It wasn't their target business. They preferred places where people went versus places where people lived. Which is an overly simplistic way of putting it.

They had concerns with land cost, taxes, logistics, and security that made them just avoid those areas and prefer other areas.

LERTA only works to an extent. How often is the land sold? That's when you make the revenue. Say a developer buys the land. They pay the tax 1 time. In 10 years when they will start owing property tax, they will sell the property to the tenant and move on. If the tenant is smart, they too move on.

Meanwhile, what was built on that land? 5 warehouses? Cool none of them are paying a dime towards roads, schools, fire protection, none of it. It's still stuck on this idea that if you bring in businesses by promising low or no taxes that that is good for the communit, but it doesn't do anyone any good because the moment they are forced to start paying taxes they move somewhere else.

The asshole in me thinks the Hellers should go to that hunter's house and shoot his dog. If the cops ask, say"gosh I thought that dog that is twice the size of a normal coyote, and wearing a colored vest was a coyote."

Its fucking ignorant, and that guy shouldnt have guns if he cant tell the difference between a pet and a coyote.

Well, regardless of the who, the who’s paying for it is taxpayers.

Paying for night shift is super expensive. Like raise your taxes expensive, and it’s too cold at night to do repairs.

So whatever it is needed done, and couldn’t wait till warmer weather.

Missed out on the state liquor lottery a few weeks back. Couldve gotten some Van Winkle for him, and if he's a whisky guy he's probably heard of that brand. However, it's not local. It's now bottled out of Buffalo Trace which is in KY.
